Holy hell, Blackwater dungeon sucks. I'm at the intersection part with lava underneath and I have no idea how to continue here. The armor on the big dudes here are just lol and I can't escape the dungeon apparently. Shame this game at times turns to such a fucking slog.

You can actually see the last few seconds of featherfall ticking down right at the beginning of the caves. Very cool.

Apparently if you go with weapon focus in character creation you get a cold iron variant of that weapon in that chest you first see.

MORE REACTIVITY You can tell the mongrel saleswoman that Gorum hates capitalism. Gorum confirmed based.

Note that galfray is racist against chaotics, so she will not romance azatas afaik.
What a fucking boomer.

If you're sub level 12 I wouldn't even attempt Blackwater.

If you aren't, here's some pointers:

1. Everyone's vulnerable to electricity but you've probably already noticed that. Also electricity damage alone is not enough to make the encounters much easier anyway it just turns off their regen.

2. They're also vulnerable to adamantine. I think the only adamantine weapon you will have at this point is soulshear, meaning that you better bring along Sosiel, unless your PC uses glaives.

3. You might have noticed that the cyborgs especially have crap will saves. Take Ember with you and use slumber. Phantasmal putrification works too. Web also helps with thinning the crowd.

4. For the lava ring fight specifically, prepare by casting web around the place. It probably won't immobilize the Klavakuses (or whatever they're called) but it will slow them down once they decide to go after your backline and give you time to cast dimension door to get away. Cave fangs are also useful but be careful, they're not party friendly. Also summon a couple of things just to keep the enemy occupied with something. Ofc true sight helps with the succubi's mirror image. As always, focus the big guys first and one at a time because they're the danger. Blast them with ranged touch attack spells like scorching or hellfire ray. The succubi will suck you dry and amass a huge HP pool in the meantime but their damage can be healed away unlike the big ones' mad burst damage. However, if you manage to sleep a Klavakus, don't wake them, there's a good chance they'll survive getting up if you attack them. It is a gruelling and lengthy encounter and you have to be patient but it is definitely doable.

I concur. Blackwater can be tough as nails if unprepared for the sudden spike of the difficulty. You've pointed out good hints. To that I add: prepare mucho thingos that lower enemy ACs and raise party's Attack values like Blesses, Prayers, Hastes, Evil Eyes, Potions of Str/Dex, Good Lucks etc. At the Blackwater area these are not the occasional helper as usual, but a total must, and stacked one upon the other most of the time at that.

MAking a kineticist merc worth? I know that in kingmaker, kineticists are godlike. How they are in this game?

Kineticist still really fucking strong but they struggle midgame, where they neither have Deadly earth and their blasts struggle to pass SR and they don't have a lot of spell penetration.

Guys, how I can recruit Kestoglyr? I reached ch 4 now and am looking into the mines and no clue.
Either do battle with the dragon in that storybook segment so Colyphyr will be alerted to your presence beforehand, or allow them to capture you.

Do it, load a save, anything. Kestoglyr is a champion unparalleled in dual-weapon combat.

Thanks a lot. I really need more melee undead servants. But how I can find that dragon to do the battle?

It's the last segment of that CYOA bit when you're flying en-route; something-something about doing battle. Dunno what exactly the input is, but he'll be to the left around the prison cells if it worked out.

How did you guys build Staunton? 20 levels warpriest?
What level do you get him again? If it's early enough then you might be able to cram a few useful cleric levels in there but I'm not enough of a buildfag to offer any substantial advice here. All I can tell you is that lvl20 warpriest did not work out for me because warpriest is ass.

You get him at level 10 but mixing Cleric with Warpriest seems utterly horrible, as in mixing casting classes (unless the CL gets added up, but I don't think it does...?). Why cleric anyway? He has shitty wisdom

His shitty wisdom is also why he's a shitty warpriest but you need someone to heal your zombies, aside from yourself maybe.

Kineticists do very solid guaranteed damage with deadly earth/cloud (with no saves or attack rolls). They will never do amazing damage (200 damage per turn, every turn guaranteed is good, but it's not great). But they will also just have solid output every turn, and never run out of juice.

I don't think other kineticists are good, they don't really get enough +ab to hit stuff, especially with only one attack per round. I guess blue flame kineticist might be able to hit stuff since it's a touch attack, but it also has to contend with spell resist until level 19(-+1).

So yeah, kineticist is good, but make sure your elemental picks are earth/fire/fire or fire/earth/fire, taking deadly earth at level 12, and obviously mythic fire so you can ignore DR.

The Camellia reveal you get in Dresden was absolutely hilarious. It made me actually feel uncomfortable. Like when you for some reason said hi to the really really weird guy back in school and suddenly he thinks you are best pals and follow you around everywhere.

When I merge spellbooks with Lich as Sorceror, do I get to select new 5th level spells (right now my max is 4th as a lvl 9 Sorcerer) as soon as that happens?

I thought one of the main reasons for merging spellbooks (other than higher caster level) was getting access to higher levels for spells earlier? but as a spontaneous caster I would have to select those to actually be able to cast them.

I believe that yes, but only for lich spells of 5/6th level. Never played this game as a spontaneous caster.

The way merging spellbooks works is that you get to pick spells for the last level in the merge.
So if you were a level 8 sorc, you will merge to 11, and get to pick spells as if you had leveled from sorc10 to sorc11. The spell picks from level 9 and 10 are lost (but you'll get more spell picks than a regular sorc in total, since you can keep picking spells beyond CL 20).

You also automatically get all the mythic path's spells added to your spellbook for free.

Imo they overdid it with her. It is extremely hard to justify keeping her around after that for any PC who is not CE.
