What difficulty are you playing on?Cavalier seems OP for early game. It non stop delivers above 10 points of damage usually between 12-15 and it is actually a double strike because mount itself also makes an attack in my case horse tries to bite.
It feels like people didn't know what they were getting into with this franchise and weren't mentally prepared for what they are about to witness.i dunno, i like the game a lot
The Kingmaker AP was an experiment, an attempt to create a sandbox experience with no defined villain. Some things worked, some things didn't. And most of the things that didn't work were fixed in the Owlcat interpretation, as they were supposed to be fixed by the tabletop DM. It's a sandbox experience because the players can make the story about a number of things, and it's up to the DM to realize that and create a plot around it. Naturally that lead to very uneven experiences overall.Kingmaker
What difficulty are you playing on?
Is it just me or is turn based mode pretty wonky? Units on both side seem to frequently avoid unit collision. Mousing over enemies with bows/spells sometimes triggers AoOs out of sequence.
It still feels like how it's meant to be played though.
This is where my core values are.The majority just serve the character with the prettier face and story.
Since sacrificing children is being brought up often, let's throw this in - In Witcher 3, if you help the Baron and let the ladies of the forest live, you are continuing the practice of child sacrifice.
Yet most players don't go with helping the spirit, which would coincidentially end the child sacrifices, because then the Baron's wife dies. Players are hypocrites. The majority just serve the character with the prettier face and story.
But then woke writer talent would have to stay unemployed Let them write words for food! That's why full party generation is the better solution than just companions
This is especially grand when you take into account that by any measure Amber Scott has been seriously taking Irabeth as a "successfully subverted trope" on her part and to her own credit.

Magic essence locations in C1 (there are 6, you really want 5 to craft the cat):
Tower of Estrod
Blackwing Library (secret door)
Gwerm's mansion
Grey Garrison (first floor, perception check on rubble)
Grey Garrison (2nd floor, behind mobility check)
One more, not sure where
Belt buckle is in market sqaurebrimorak house
As a Cavalier whose order only allows for you to pick a horse at first, can I discard it in favor of some more exotic mount later on?
And also, will a mount permanently occupy a companion slot?
No, you're stuck with a horse.
Mounts are companions, they don't use slots.

I skim a lot of the writing here. Most modern cRPGs are painfully overwritten, and most of the writing here isn't worth reading
Oh, I know. They also expect compensation for whatever it is they do, it's never enough to do it altruistically. I have a tabletop adventure in which I explicitly tell the players they will give up their loot in order to save a character's life and in the two times we played it (with different people) nobody did it. After that, one of the players told me how he expects to get rewarded for saving the character anyway and that the saved character should come and help them in some way after that. It was pretty interesting all things considered.Yet most players don't go with helping the spirit, which would coincidentially end the child sacrifices, because then the Baron's wife dies. Players are hypocrites. The majority just serve the character with the prettier face and story.
Anyone here is playing in Azata mythic path? I'm curious about the spells + dragon companion + "superpowers"
I'm playing, its really fun for casters. One superpower makes you cast same spell twice, clearing rooms with 1 chain lightning. Also got nice spells that fully or partially refreshes your and party members main spell book slots.
Dragon is cute and gets bigger, stronger. Can be mountable too, once it grows big enough.
Amazing. I decided. My second run will be Azata. Now, Witch or Wizard?
Angel looks like is amazing for divine casters and martial.
Hey Mer, how are the bugs in later chapter?
So far, I encountered more bugs in ch 2 and 3 than in ch 4 or 5. But is just me.
Isn't it weird how the game has been reviewed by "professional" critics yet not one of them bothered to mention these things? Almost like they don't actually play the games they review...
They play like the prologue and review a 100 hour game with base in 40 minutes of gameplay
Piece of trash game. Basically more of the first one, including all the bugs. Definitely Codex GOTY 2021, some things never change.
PS: Also, no Linux version? Go fuck yourselves with a horse.
Judging a game without even trying it. But I agree. Linux should get a version.
