Certain classes are weaker than others though
I will never understand why Eldritch Archer is its own subclass, instead of being part of the base class.Certain classes are weaker than others though
Yes and no. Obv Sword Saint is overloaded, base Alchemist is strictly worse than Grenadier if you know how to cast Delay Poison, and Eldritch Archer was unfortunately completely mailed in.
Other than that Owlcat did an extraordinary job giving almost every class a way to excel if you work at it.
NJClaw's (and InEffect's) tier system is about how good a class is solo, but that's just a different game. P:K is at it's heart about group synergies.
more experienced players often prefer to play lower tier characters as they enjoy the challenge of trying to optimise them.

The way you talk about the tier system makes me think you have never seen a single PnP Pathfinder session.Certain classes are weaker than others though

It was flattering to assume that some of us even play pnp. I myself never played a pnp session.
Yeah. But I never said I was speaking on pnp. My point of view was always from the video game.>makes me think you have never seen a single PnP Pathfinder session.

Pretty evident from your posts on this subject.

while we were talking about PnP class tiers, what's the point?Eh, class tiers are quite stupid.
Update on COVID-19
Dear Pathfinders,
Just like everyone else these days, we are deeply concerned about the COVID-19 virus outbreak, and we’re keeping a wary eye on the situation and following the recommendations from the World Health Organization.
To protect the health and safety of our employees, starting this week we’ve decided to switch to fully remote working so that we don’t put each other at extra risk.
Here at Owlcat Games, our work has always been organized for maximum flexibility, to give each member of the team the ability to switch between office-based and remote working from time to time, while still maintaining all channels of communication. So this step should not significantly affect our progress—from a technical point of view, the studio is ready for this.
Our goal is to continue working on Wrath of the Righteous, making the best possible CRPG, to justify the trust of our backers, and to keep updating you on the development process.
Take care of yourselves, and stay safe.

Owlcat! You better not die on me! Who is going to make the best cRPG if we lose you?!

Hm, I can't tell when people get upset. I, however, can tell when I get upset though. I am not upset. I am just having fun posting about Pathfinder. You people are getting needlessly upset.
Don't worry, russian are immune to it. Now,you on other hand...Owlcat! You better not die on me! Who is going to make the best cRPG if we lose you?!

Monks are immune to disease men. And barbarians get damage reduction. Now,you on other hand...
Ahhh the problem is that in real life you two are neither of those things. It is not good to confuse games with real life mate.Monks are immune to disease men. And barbarians get damage reduction. Now,you on other hand...
As a rule of thumb, I always assume that nobody I am talking to on the internet is upset. Otherwise, I would only be capable of posting "no sorry sorry sorry I didn't want to upset you please forgive me".You people are getting needlessly upset.

The tier system I posted has nothing to do with Kingmaker, it's about PnP classes' versatility. And it's not "mine", I wish I was JaronK, I would get laid so much more.
That tier system doesn't say that a certain class is "stronger" than another in combat, that's not the point. It doesn't care about which class gives which bonus.
And, while I obviously respect and love Owlcat for the amazing game they gave us, they had nothing to do with the Pathfinder-related content that's in the game. Every class has ways to excel because Paizo designed them, not Owlcat.
Lighten up Bulgar, there's still more rakija in the world to consume.Ahhh the problem is that in real life you two are neither of those things. It is not good to confuse games with real life mate.Monks are immune to disease men. And barbarians get damage reduction. Now,you on other hand...
