The AK/CAR mod pack was a joke. Hey guys, let's add more mods to the most powerful assault rifles in the game instead of buffing the 10 million others! Because they are popular!

Oh fuck you buddy. This thread is now about finding Waldo
Quit ages ago after Brut and Absalom cheated money and lost the will to grind. Which is a damn shame because Payday 2 does some things really well but Jesus Christ having to grind cash if you want to experiment with skills/weapons/masks can get fucked. Briefly think about buying the DLC every time it goes on sale but I always talk myself out of it.Do any codexers still play the game. I ragequited about a year ago after being bored of farming rat job and cheaters.
I was mostly interested in achievement hunting, mostly overkill/death wish stufff, and had to find random people on steam forums which would be frustrating most of the times.
I installed it again to see the new heists, and I don't feel like the game still draws me in, but that could maybe change with the right crew ?
Okay I played a bit more. The new heists are fun, but boy is this game fucked hard by the cheaters. I thought it was bad when I quit but this is a lot worse
Out of 10 games on overkill around 6-7 have cheaters on them. God mode, frozen bots, teleporting, convert all enemies, insta-kill, rain grenades etc. I am not counting infamy rank hacks btw, since they dont affect gameplay that much.
What a joke, they even have a system that detects some very obvious ones and highlights the player as a "CHEATER" but that's it. So they basically can and do identify them but they won't ban them.
It really kills any sense of challenge and achievement. Now when a player is good I start wondering if he is cheating or not. And what's the point of busting my ass off to do the hard tasks when others hack their way through in minutes.
So sad, and I think the way Overkill handled updates is also responsible for this.
