I actually started playing through P5 Royal again. I want to try and change the way I play it this time and play it more casually and on a higher challenge level

Tranny game.
Honestly, looks more of a Citroen H than a Tranny...
There was zero need to retardo his post btw.

So, I spent 1 euro for 14 days of Game Pass to check out Persona 5 Tactica and I can report that it is super boring and feels like a mobile game.
Persona 5 is a dating sim with light combat. No idea why they thought they could milk a tactics game out of it.

I’m not even sure the dating aspect of the game even works like a dating sim game, it’s just part of the Social Link system that helps you either directly or indirectly during combat.

Like you said, it gives you stats basically. That said, depending on who you decide to date it slightly changes storylines and interactions in the game so basically how your relationship evolves with the character and experiences you have with them change.

Also, if you date more than one at a time there's a chance they'll find out and there's a funny little conflict cut scene. I don't think it actually has a real impact if that happens that I recall.

Sure, you get bonuses, but there's a ton of dev time invested in the dating sim.

I know I'm exaggerating here, but the companion quests and the general story are where most of the draw is. And without them, all you have is the combat, which is simplistic. Hence, why it's a boring tactics game.

There’s time invested in the time management town part of Persona 5. The dating part isn’t even something you have to get into. And the time management part is more than just companion quest. The story being the draw in a JRPG isn’t exactly some new thing either.

Persona 5 Tactica being boring or not has nothing to do with how Persona 5 does things. The games don’t even have the same directors; the Persona 5 director off doing Metaphor: ReFantazio at his own new studio while these new Persona games are happening.

I count all the quests as dating sim. Even the bro quests with blondie. It's a visual novel with combat and minigames. The romances etc. make it a dating sim. Eh.

I'll just take your word for it, since I never played tactics. The very concept is boring to me. I can just replay P5 if I want its combat, and I'll get the chill story while I'm there.

They need to stop making these updated revisions like Golden and Royal, all they do is make the games worse.

Exactly. You can even built a decent tactics game if your base game has no tactics at all. For example, Gear's Tactics is quite decent and much more enjoyable than P5T even though it's based on Gears of War of all things.

Fujoshis literally thats the reason.
According to google this means girls who're into gay manga / anime. How is that related to Persona 5? There is no gayness in the game with the exception of two NPCs who want to turn Ryuji into a drag queen.

Basically thats all i really see women, who play any of the modern persona games for and are literally into stuff like that too.

Then they are probably not getting a good deal since there are literally two 30 second joke scenes in a 100 hour plus game.

But FFVII already started the Fujo nonsense in JRPGs, never forget the good old Cloud x Sephiroth vs Sephiroth x Cloud debates. Why is Persona 5 being singled out? If anything SMT IV was already way more Fujoshi bait than Persona 5, and SMT V is even worse.
