If you've beaten the whole game you should have more then enough blessing points to take all the ones that improve QoL without directly boosting your PC.

I don't lack points. Its just a good system(combined pool for perks & quirks) that I've seen in other games, validating both sides. Which was what I thought how it was gonna be when they announced it back in figstarter.

PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath
You have some tough combat against big groups when on PotD, in order to finish either faction's questline and get them to help you reach Ukaizo.

Then on Ukaizo you have one tough combat to prepare for. Everything else you do up to that point is pretty much a build up to those two difficult encounters which will be mandatory. Alternatively, you have to amass a big amount of money to outfit your ship and go alone, but this only saves you from one of the two difficult encounters. And with Abydon's challenge, you can't gather that kind of sum anyway.

You could get Neketaka drake and Splinter Reef vampires to help with Ukaizo ship encounters. Although getting through Splinter Reef with a rushed party would likely be harder than just doing faction quest.

The drake also makes you skip the Guardian fight entirely.

Tbh, if you're worried about fights, you can skip everything in the MQ. Guardian is skippable, magma drake is skippable, Hasango fights are skippable - that's it!

If you freed the water dragon in Neketaka then skipping the Guardian boss fight and conversation is mandatory. This isn't ideal for role playing since it means if you want any lore for the big objective everyone in the game is trying to reach, you have to kill a dragon which the game gives you no reason to want to, and even makes you feel sympathetic towards since it's being held prisoner

There are people that had finish it,therefore it works.

I finished it but I had to use Cheat Engine, cuz the last chapter is full of bugs that completely ruins the game. Also, best storytelling? Really?

EDIT: Yeah, give me any decline you want, but I challenge you to finish the game with the curse of the lantern king.

I understand that Berath's Blessings can't even be used when you have challenge activated, so I'm going to pass. I like being able to turn on the extra content (merchant at Port Maje, pick-pocket loot, etc), and having the overworld map revealed at the beginning.

Next patch will allow you to use beraths blessings with the challenges.

Skaen might add to the atmosphere in the dungeons and that would be cool, but I don't think it's going to affect difficulty all that much as I don't rely on individual pulling of mobs anyway.

I thought the same thing at first, but now I believe it's the hardest challenge. It's not only that you can't pull mobs, but you will be overwhelmed in every fight and can't reposition without suffering disengagement attacks.

The reason I like the challenge is that it makes dungeons feel more dangerous and immersive, but it also gives you a good reason to increase the stealth skill in order to scout ahead.

The dragon makes it pretty clear he is going on a mass murdering spree against... almost everyone. So your choices are basically Pro Slavery, Pro Mass Murder, or Mercy Killing.

It's only murder if the killing is illegitimate.

What are the dates for each MQ? Can't find them listed anywhere online.
I don't remember. From landing on Maje island to finishing the Digsite, I think it was a week. And from then on it's something like 20 days to Neketaka, 20 days to Hasongo, 20 days to Ashen Maw, and 20 days to Ukaizo. Roughly.

That seems pretty tight, checked my save and a completionist run of 1.0 took 7 months.

Prob means you can't chase ships and would have to skip a lot of plot areas, but of the top of my head the hardest fight would probably be the naga boss in Watershaper guild underground, that's not skippable, but you can split the mobs.

Update #57 - Patch 3.1 - New Berath's Blessings, Challenges, and Mega Boss!
POSTED: 10/25/2018

Greetings, Watchers,

We hope you've been enjoying the Crucible of Kazuwari! In this Backer update, we're going to check out what's new in Deadfire's new Patch 3.1 that is available today!

Update 3.1
The patch is live! Some of the highlights of Update 3.1 include:
  • UI Simplifications
    • Ship UI will now be hidden until you can access your ship
    • More options for auto-hiding elements of the HUD
  • Spell Shaping
    • Available for Wizard, Druid, Priest, and Chanter classes; this passive ability allows spell casters to adjust the radius of certain AoE spells to increase the power level or area that the spell can reach
  • Magran's Fire Difficulty Additions
    • All Challenges can now be done on any difficulty in the game! Play through with new challenges for a new, interesting game experience
  • New Berath's Blessings
    • ...Can I Pet Him Anyway?
      • The time has come, friends... Edér can now equip a pet
    • Infamous Past
      • Gain the Infamous Captain passive ability and live the life of someone who has survived a mutiny
  • Premade Characters
    • Characters can now be imported to use on various playthroughs through Deadfire. Characters can be chosen in character creation, or by visiting taverns and recruiting them as Adventurers

New Challenges

Berath's Blessings weren't the only thing to get some additions in this patch. Two new challenges have been added with the 3.1 update.
  • Hylea - Vela is rather attached to the Watcher and won't leave your side, the poor thing, so it's up to you to protect her. If you don't, the game ends!
  • Rymrgand - Food will start to expire! Foods like hard tack will expire more slowly, but you should still stay vigilant and ensure a supply of fresh food!

A New Mega Boss

A new Mega Boss can now be challenged! This colossal Ooze is prepared to face some of the strongest teams that dare brave it! Can you discover it's location and take on this fierce enemy?

Shacknews Feature
For the past few months, Shacknews editor, David L. Craddock, has been interviewing various people past and present associated with both the Infinity Engine games and Pillars of Eternity. From a deep dive into the world of isometric RPG's, Beneath a Starless Sky explores the events that would lead up to Obsidian's foundation and the journey that culminated in the release of Deadfire. Check it out!

Additionally, Shacknews also published a backstage view of Obsidian before the launch of Deadfire as a part of their inaugural episode in their new "24 'Til Launch" series. Take a look to see some familiar faces you may not have seen in a while.
