Yeah but can you do it as well without plate armour? I'd prefer my monks in light armour for immershun. Trying out a lvl 4 monk in BB and it wasn't anything special like yours.

I'm not sure what the math is behind wounds, but you should accumulate them faster if you get hit without any armor to protect you (unless you have absurdly high deflection). Swift Strikes and Force of Anguish are excellent abilities available at low levels.

Apart from Swift Strikes, are there many durational abilities? I've been trying it with Int dumped so that every other ability is around 14 with maxed Con, in order to have high deflection and dmg. 3 second less SS ain't so bad.

Arv interview on YouTube:

Like retarded Twitch chat wasn't enough on it's own, nope. Now we have to look at it even on full screen mode.

One more thing not related to the video:

The item tooltips still look like crap, and are kind of difficult to read. Was it simply out of their scope to make them better or do Obsidian feel that the tooltips are ok?

You can use the wizard's dimensional shift to switch places with a fighter companion with the defender modal on, triggering disengagement attacks when teleporting.

Oh god, what is happening to me? I'm actually having fun with the engagement system. :negative:

You're having fun with Engagement system bugs

:troll:

Escape is a bit buggy with it too.
Bugs or features? The only way for the engagement system to be fun is ignoring Sawyer's intented purpose and find ways to exploit it to get free attacks...
I will savour his delicious tears when he watches his favorite YouTube playthroughs where the people cheese the engagement system like there is no tomorow :smug:

I tuned all (I think) of the outliers in that graph and did a one-by-one pass over all of the cipher powers before I left last night, so things shouldn't be as lopsided anymore. Those changes will be in the release day patch.

Dunno what the Cipher tuning result will be but I would assume probably overtuning them down.

The main problem with the cipher powers (and other classes' similar abilities like Charm Beast) is the combat state restrictions/issues.

It makes no sense to have disengagement attacks trigger when you teleport the fighter away. That should be a bug.
if its not then fucking  and rolfles.

You don't teleport the fighter away, you teleport the fighter in. It makes perfect sense (as much as engagement makes sense).

if you teleport the fighter in how does that cause disengagement attacks?
Not to mention that requires wizards to be front liners first.

How about the pre-order numbers too? Is it too early? I assume no one knows anything about that.

That first screenshot isn't looking so hot. Must be one of those wilderness areas they outsourced.

The others look great though.

Yeah grass looks kind of like shit in the first one. Weird.
