There is a big push here to do that, so it is something we are talking about. We need to figure out what would the right setting and game style (how much RPG vs. Strategy) - if that makes sense.

The thing is - her being a former raider would make her a perfect fit for the sequel's setting.

I just hope the furry met their pirate and barbarian quotas and she won't be back - I can't stand her VA and character.

They haven't really said anything substantial about the buff/debuff system. What they have said vaguely reminds me of some other game which I can't seem to remember, where buffs had a counter debuff and you couldn't have both on at the same time since one canceled the other. D:OS has a similar thing where fire = pain and burning, water = wet, water + fire = cancel each other out etc. I suppose the success of such a system depends on the spamability of them, in D:OS you can't really "spam" them since they both have a cd and it's turn-based.

There's nothing wrong with "generic". A character can have a generic concept but still be extremely interesting.
Same is valid the other way around. Just look at PoE1, every character and race tries so hard with "we're not gonna be generic" and it ends up the most dull shit in the world regardless.

YES! I had to make my main char a proper dwarf due to the lack of an actual dwarf companion. And my PC Dwarf rocks, but it would be nice to see him get a lil buddy in POE2.
