OK, how does Ker fill the beaker? The barrels are on end and the plug is in the top.

As the vine continues to coil and constrict around Marcán, Rhenmyr dashes in and hews at with his axe and severs it cleanly. Thick black ichor sprays from the severed appendage and the stump writhes frantically (Marcán doesn't take constriction damage this round, but he can't act until the next round either).

Borric turns and whips his maul around at the vine Sokrates wounded and lines it up for an overhand strike:
Borric's Maul [1d20] = 10, damage [2d4+2] = 5+2 = 7
Unfortunately the mighty thewed northman seems a bit gassed from his frenzy and misses.

Sokrates squares up and raises his sword high overhead and brings it down with all of his might:
Sokrates Sword [1d20+2] = 12+2 = 14, damage [1d8+2] = 1+2 = 3
Although his sword makes contact with the vine he only slaps it with the flat of his blade and it rebounds harmlessly off it's tough skin.

They are pretty nasty. Hopefully chopping up half their number wont make the rest angry.

Apologies if some of you feel I'm being unfair. I fully expected this to be a very difficult fight that would require a bit of ingenuity, some teamwork and some good fortune to pull through. Without giving anything away, I'll just say any victory or treasure worth having is twice as sweet when it's hard-won.

(OOC: I believe it's Ker's turn?)

Ker pushes one of the barrels on its side (let me know what else you wish to do).

Can't complain. It's a pretty badass fight. Just sucks the Cleric went down in the first round.

Oh, sorry, even though I watch the thread I missed the latest messages :-/
Ker starts filling the glass beaker with the liquid whilst opening the sealed jar with his sickle.

No problem. I have trouble with the notifications system all the time too.

Ker fills a glass beaker with about a quart of fluid and kneels to the ground and starts cutting into the wax seal of one of the clay urns with the protruding copper rod.

NEXT ROUND
Initiative: Sokrates and Borric [1d6+1] = 2+1 = 3
Initiative: Viny Critter [1d6] = 5

I thought I couldn't do anything this round?

Ah, Rhenmyr severed the vine that was holding you and you are now free to move about. We're now in the next round too. I re-read what I wrote and I can see why that might have created some confusion

Order of action
Rhenmyr
Vines
Marcán
Borric & Sokrates
Ker

I'll let Grimgravy resolve his action before I do anything, although it does appear the two remaining vines (one of which is half-severed and oozing black fluid) seem to be preoccupied with Borric and Sokrates for the moment.
