There isn't a single reasonable argument FOR a 30 day period. It's especially annoying if you use Codex on multiple devices.

Until your account has "passed" your posts will only be visible to yourself (and moderators) until they are approved. Give us a week to get around to approving / deleting / ignoring your mundane opinion on crap before hassling us about it. Once you have passed the moderation period (think of it as a test), you will be able to post normally, just like all the other retards.
Yet it's currently in-place here. Thus, the onus is on you to persuade whomever why it should be changed, if at all.
Why would people bitch about having to enter the 2FA code less frequently, you fetid moppet? Everyone would like this.
People would still complain about the necessity of 2FA in any form. Haven't you been keeping up?

I'm not sure if XF2 actually allows disabling it or ever changing the 30-day value.

FWIW, I'm fairly certain that not all of the add-ons for Xenforo that are available are necessarily going to play well with our particular database. More accurately, we still have such a, shall we call it... unique implementation of XF here that one can't just assume some fix for some issue will instantly solve that problem for us.
Codex has been built up for so many years on rickety and Frankenstein-ish code and tweaks and cobbled-together wankery that we're lucky any of us can even still log in here successfully.
That being said, if the above add-on could work for us, I personally see no reason not to add it and test for a while with the 60-day verification period then maybe move to the 90-day one.

The cumbersome F2A stuff means only quality posters who really want to participate in the forum will go through with it every month and this forums quality and prestige will just keep on growing

I have to do 2FA every time I log into the codex, and I auto logout when my browser is closed. It is super annoying, but the once a month you guys are complaining about is nothing.

Hate the monthly log outs for 2FA. I'm for extending it to 90 days or even once every 365. Honestly it would be better to do away with it entirely and restrict post-deletion to something like an hour if that's what caused all the problems.

The biggest shitposters are the most autistic no-life NEETs. They have literally all day to fuck around with 2FA, create new alts and generally harsh the Codex's mellow.
It works for me when setting per-site preferences with Firefox.
The addon Bester found is probably good.
Think we should keep 30 day as default, otherwise have option to disable the same for a certain dedicated machine or whatever is used as a cookie to allow the 30 day period if the person not using on multiple devices or accessing on public networks aka a single pc from home that only he uses.
