Mass deletion of posts caused the forums to have a stroke and cause time to become nonlinear. If you noticed the forums chugging in the last couple of days this was the cause. Affected threads would have their posts jumbled in a nonsensical order. You'd have posts from yesterday, followed by a post from 10 minutes ago, followed by a post from twenty minutes ago, etc.

Not everything is always about potatoes.

If it worked fine, I wouldn't complain. Other websites with 2FA constantly mistake my only PC for a "OH NO, A NEW DEVICE" and force me to go to my email and enter a code.

I frequently switch VPN nodes whilst using the Codex and only ever have to re-auth every 30 days. So it doesn't seem to be an issue with whatever system Xenforo 2 uses.

That's not true, *all the authentication apps provide backup auth codes that you can store anywhere and that you can use in case of losing access to your phone for whatever reason. There are also various possible problems with e-mail delivery that don't exist with the app solutions, so I strongly recommend using an app over e-mail. Of course, not being an idiot and not saving your provided backup codes somewhere secure as well.

You must've meant the Xenforo backup codes that are 10 unique strings of numbers you can use only once. The apps have nothing to do with that.

Authy has a reputation of having been hacked at least twice, collects telemetry, your email and phone number, and doesn't support code hive exporting. It's purely cloud-based.

It's not just one thread, 17k+ of my posts were deleted and only a fraction of them was in the Ukrainian thread. If someone was just deleting posts in one thread it'd be a harmless prank, but deleting RPG discussions is a threatthat cannot be ignored. I wrote plenty of reviews and comments of niche RPGs, many of which I was probably the first (and sometimes only) 'dexer playing. Now all those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
