So if you haven’t heard the news, MangaGamer has licensed Alicesoft’s Beat Blades Haruka for an official English language release (it’s being translated by Arunaru).
(Yes, I’ve been scheming this for years.)
So here’s what this means:
-Buy Haruka.
-The fan translations of Rance games currently in progress will not be released as fan translations anymore. We’d like them to be released officially!
-With MangaGamer we’ll be able to do actual professional work. Quality will be checked more thoroughly, there will be more thorough testing and support for issues, and we’ll actually be working with Alicesoft’s permission and blessing.
-All of the people who work legitimately on these games for MangaGamer (of 2.0 Translations, Vodka and SLC are involved with Haruka) will be paid for their work! (And will probably put in more effort because of it!)
-Obviously we want more Alicesoft games released officially, which means their first official English language release has to be a success for them to be interested in more, so buy Haruka!
-The more Haruka sells, the more Alicesoft will be interested in releasing their games in the western market, so buy Haruka!
-BUY HARUKA.

P.S. I’m going to keep working on 5D and Quest! I won’t release them unofficially, but I’d basically like to present them to MangaGamer as finished products when they’re done so that they can be released as soon as Alicesoft wants them to be. And that’s what’s really important, right? Alicesoft is releasing their games officially with MangaGamer now because they think they can be successful in the western market, so since we enjoy their games, we should let them know that we want them here and that they’ll be successful! So buy Haruka!!!
