I recently found out that just like Gurumin, Zwei 2 is also at native 30FPS :(

Hope they can somehow kick it up a notch to 60. I understand Sara is working on that, but it's gonna take some time. Afraid it's gonna affect a bit of the launch hype.

Nights of Azure 2 for PC released:

Let's look at Steam forum, what we've got here... Xbox 360 controller not working, no graphics setting, resolution locked in 1600*900 and it weirdly cuts off text.

Koei PC port as usual. Did they even QA?

That picture would imply that they are at least somewhat familiar with PCs.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
oasis789 I'm cautious about that one. They had something going on with the combat system in IAS. Unfortunately, you could break the game with a few setups for your characters. And writing wasn't worth my time. Still, I might give this a go at a steep discount, depending on impressions.

I know the game sold very poorly in Japan.

I foolishly bought I am Setsuna upon its release. What a horrible disappointment that was. Worst part was I played it for more than 2 hours to see if something of substance would emerge and missed my opportunity to get a refund on steam. From what I have seen in general story and character descriptions for Lost Sphear, not much has been learned by the devs. If they can somehow make the gameplay challenging and interesting, maybe it'll be redeemable, but I can't help but look at it and think "how are they making all the same mistakes again?"

Anyway, I look forward to your impressions on it one day.

Yeah i'm sort of turned off that it looks like a straight recycling of the I am Setsuna template. Though the issues with IAS were system balance and the writing, not necessarily the feel of it. So if they put any real effort into those areas, Lost Sphear could have a chance.

You’re invited to log in! Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online hits Steam early 2018 with English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese subtitles!

In this hack 'n' slash adventure co-developed with Tamsoft and Compile Heart, everyone's favorite four Goddesses enter an online fantasy game world inspired by... themselves! Choose from 12 characters, each with a unique playstyle to fight in 4-person realtime brawls, unleash devastating Awakening Skills, customize with tons of cosmetic accessories, and even play online with others!

Story:

Long ago when the world was nothing but a void, the goddesses created Leanverde, the World Tree.

The mighty Earth and the majestic oceans were born of Leanverde's sprout, and the goddesses bestowed upon this world the name of Alsgard.

… At least, that's what the "4 Goddesses Online" MMO is about. Now the real Gamindustri goddesses must log in and hack 'n' slash through this game-within-a-game to bring back the creators of Leanverde and defeat the Demon King! With rival beta testers and system glitches galore, what could possibly go wrong?

My point was more that the inherent Hentai aspect is something that degrades the quality of a game to unplayable for me. I've tried with things like Sengoku Rance, and I just couldn't do it.

then imho I kinda feel sorry for you but to each his own :dealwithit:

I feel sorry for me too. Videogames are already kinda of kitsch as is, and turning them into cartoon sex games just makes me too self-aware of what I'm doing to enjoy myself, even if there are really cool mechanics to be found.

Oh yeah, Kadokawa announced Metal Max Xeno, a new game to the cult-ish post apocalyptic JRPG series, for PS4 and Vita:

They also announced a dating sim and a console strategy RPG based on some mobile game.

(I wonder how these Kadokawa's new game publishing initiatives will pan out. The announced games are still somewhat niche, animu, and low-mid-budget-ish but they probably want to be like Bandai Namco, especially they have From Software under them. Animu games based on their animu IPs on one side, and high-budet-ish console games on the other side.)

Zwei 2 release date: October 31th.

Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection, from acclaimed RPG developer Nihon Falcom, will launch on Windows PC via Steam, GOG, and the Humble Store... Originally released for PC in Japan in 2008 as Zwei II Plus, Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection brings the cult classic into the modern HD era with visual improvements and, for the first time, a full English localization complete with over 2000 never-before-voiced lines to bring the game’s strange and eclectic characters to life.

Started replaying Zwei2+, thanks to the pending release shoutouts.
Playing in Wine with controller, albeit with slight tearing issues and can't play the pre-rendered video clips [unskippable for 1st playthrough].

Despite Zwei1's better protagonists' conversations and the presence of many flavored [but entirely optional] world description texts, this is 1 of the few exceptions where the 3D direct sequel plays better than its 2D predecessor.
Prefer this game's pre-programmed cam angles than freely-rotatable ones like Tokyo Xanadu where basically one fights with the monsters and cam angles at the same time.
