You guys ever just come back here and... think about what we could have had?
A mediocre game that everyone would've forgotten by now.
Or an awesome looking game with vast possibilities of modding and creating custom adventures.
1. You can create custom adventures in NWN, Temple of Elemental Evil, eventually even Arcanum and other engines like Baldur's Gate 2 -- not a single good campaign came out. Some niche mods for NWN are popular among 2,5 codexers.

2. It didn't look "awesome", it looked okay. There was nothing spectacular about how it looked.

And yes, it looked awesome, especially considering it’s a 3d which nowadays tends to lack any personality whatsoever.
