I can live with some retarded thread-mergers and splits for arbitrary reasons, even though there might be no real need for it, sometimes they make sense, sometimes they don't really. I can get by with autismal obsessive-compulsive post-editing because apparently Twitter-embeds with a Space inbetween are totally better than ones with an Enter. I can even live with hidden-away forums trying to lessen the appeal to posters like Cael or fantadomat (although there's other, more direct solutions for that). It's getting increasingly annoying how all sorts of "Gaming Drama" including stuff like the late Gearbox lawsuit gets quickly disappeared/gulag'd there out of some sense of keeping the other forums "pure/clean" though, and now it seems that these topics don't even appear in the "main section" anymore.
But seriously, what's the purpose of these late changes? Why? Who asked for them? You can't even see the Subforums from the main page depending on the size of your window, and my impression is that this will lessen instead of increase the amount of people looking into forums like Adventure Games or developer-specific forums, lessening the appeal of said, since you have to actively be looking to get there to end up there now, instead of seeing some interesting Adventure or Strategy game discussion from the main page.
Reminds me of autistic power-tripping Reddit Mod Drama, for instance there's a shitstorm brewing right now over the main HTC Vive Subreddit being led by one as such. He started by banning people from being able to post pictures or gifs/videos, then went on to instate more stupid rules even banning any sort of links, then he started banning developers from talking about their games or people from reviewing games on the grounds of it being "self-promotion" etc. till the rabble revolted: https://www.reddit.com/r/Vive/comments/ak4gro/500500_needs_to_step_down/
And they often come with some sort of over-inflated superiority complex:
