C) A crusade is needed, the University will convert or it will die.

B) We cannot afford to cut research funding, the godless communists cannot have any more of a technological edge than they already have.

1. C) Make the University capitulate and maintain it as a buffer to Yang as well as a research source, until you get ready to strike decisevely at the head of the Beast.
2. B) Both own and vassal research is needed to keep up with the technology race.

Here, obviously
C- It would give you a nice foothold to attack the Hive. You need to start clipping their wings at some point.

B- Relying on your vassals for tech might come back to bite you.

B - if nothing else, Yang would probably relocate his units to disadvantageous locations
A - as long as there is no hunter seeking algorithm, probing others to death should work just fine

C: Keep your navy close to Yang to prevent a surprise attack, but gain a foothold on the island by attacking university.
A: Morgan will keep you up to date, as well as probe attacks.

B-Probe team action, stealing is much better than wasting money yourself. When the Hive and University are fighting, try allying with one of them to demand tribute/ rob'em blind then execute them.

B-Who knows when Morgan will turn on you, best to be safe.

B. Why kill the gift that keeps on giving? Spare Zhakarov. And frame Yang for your technological theft.

and

B. You cannot rely on Morgan forever.

Actually, due to infiltration it's really not that hard to evaluate just how much threat Morgan poses. With the current SE choices and infrastructure researching is pretty much non existent. 54 turns/tech is beyond abysmal and further probing will make it even worse. The gain from psych isn't that significant either due to low energy output, but its effects are at least instantaneous and will help during war.

As taplonaplo writes, research is a waste of money for our Believes at present. If research should have any use, we'd need to change to altogether different social techs, hence my vote to discontinue funding into research and instead spend energy on stealing tech from others. :bro:

Thank You for this glorious LP. Had the same thing with Morgan couple of times, while playing University with planned economy & knowledge. He won’t do squat unless atrocities are committed or one does not lean hard enough on him.
Also Bump for the eternal Believing – Spartan friendship! The righteous shall prevail!
