I would recommend to save the jewels until you have the empty treasures, and them put the best combo you can. Some combinations are very rewarding. You will get enough pesetas from selling regular treasures and by enemy droppings.

I sold one of my 5 socket treasures for 92,000. They're worth holding onto for sure.

It usually doesn't take that long to get the gemstones required for an optimal combination, so you might as well hold off on selling until then.
It will definitely net you a few extra upgrades in the long run.

Hm, I sold the merchant a jeweled mask (socketed with rubies, I had a lot of them), and shortly afterwards he offered to trade me another one (the same one?) for spinels...

I don't get it.

Damn, the Red9 still hits like a truck. I have it improved at max, on professional mode I kill regular mobs in a couple of shots. I was using the Punisher before with the laser sight, which I'm sure it has a bigger crit chance rate. But you can still go for critical shots waiting the aiming reticle to close.

The assault rifle is absolutely wack though. The second sniper rifle does way more damage and is more reliable.

Yeah, the assault rifle is the biggest disappointment out of all the weapons. I made the mistake of instantly selling the Stingray after I found it because I thought each new weapon would be a straight upgrade on the preceeding one.
It doesn't really do anything particularly well that another weapon doesn't do better. Stingray (or even bolt action rifle) is obviously better for sniping and the SMG is the better panic spray weapon, mostly due to the horrific iron sight aiming of the AR and because rifle ammo is too sparse to be used that way.

When I play the original game, I never go through a second playthrough with the upgraded guns, attache case and health. It's boring. Upgrade systems are boring, mostly. Prefer the consistent damage balance in older Resident Evil games.

Of course, she plays the racism card. Instead of reflecting on the fact that she did a poor job.
Cant wait to see Capcom double down and release the Ada dlc with the same voice actress lmao. The drama will be hilarious.

Also pathetic reaction from her. She jumped into a hugely popular role with zero experience and did a terrible job. First thing she does is use the race card. Have some self respect and reflect a bit on your performance FFS.

'My Ada'. This tells you all, she wanted to change the character from a cool femme fatale spy because she disliked the fact she was 'sexualized' or a 'stereotype'. Now she got pushback and is rallying her simps to call everyone who disliked her an incel and a racist. I felt pity for her before and blamed mostly the retards at Capcom but now I dont care about this, she can get fucked.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Why wouldn't I be serious Zombra ?

She fucked up. She did a miserable job. And instead of owning up to it, it's the usual spiel of racism & whatnot. It's tiresome. It sounds like a damn AI wrote the response. All criticism is met that way now. And I guess every black, white, or green character must be cast after skin color now. Capcom devs were probably afraid of exactly this backlash, so they let her keep the role, even after hearing the poor voice acting. They probably did her a bad deed, considering.

Why does Ada sound like she's been smoking too much? That old voice cannot be coming out of that face/body.

Oh, is this what everyone is upset about? Well, I hope she won't be a big part of the story going forward...

It really annoys me that you can't delete save games in this game. Ffs, I misclicked once, and now I have to live with an irrelevant save game forever? What the fuck.

I just finished the game today. Overall I enjoyed it more than the last 2 remakes and I think it stands well next to the original. Like REmake, this is a rare case where I think the game actually managed to capture everything that made the original great whilst adding things that enhance the games strengths. For example, the added melee utility serves to make the combat of RE4 even more hectic and encourages aggression. It feels better than ever to mow down zomb…I mean gonados. As expected some things were cut or changed but thankfully not nearly as much as the RE2 or 3 remakes. The only part I really missed that was cut was the chair lift segment (although you can still spot the lift behind Mendez’ house), but overall I think most of the changes were inconsequential or an improvement.

Right after finishing I jumped into mercenaries, and while it was a blast I disappointingly got an S rank on all stages in about 20 minutes. The original had more difficult mercenaries for sure and more content therein.

I did notice something interesting that I hope someone can enlighten me about. When playing the demo one of the things that I really impressed was the way Leon would begin to tilt his gun to the side as enemies would close in. The animation made the shooting feel visceral and tense in a manner that I’ve never personally seen in a game. Such a small touch goes quite along way to immersing the player.

On going back to the village as Leon in mercenaries it occurred to me that this animation does not exist with any other gun in the game. I even started new game plus to confirm this. It’s really a shame and I’m considering going back to the first handgun because of it. Now poor Leon is relegated to being stiff as a board like every other shooter protagonist, even with mutant monstrosities swinging an axe mere inches from his face.

he uses the tilted stance with every handgun except for Red9 with stock.

Almost half way through and enjoying it, but can't see myself playing it again so will probably trade it towards Diablo IV when finished.

Not sure what the fuss is about Ada - it's not like any of the other VO actors are anything special so she doesn't stand out particularly. Her role hasn't exactly been pivotal so far anyway as she seems to drop in and out of the story on a whim.
