  • Project Story: Condors and Ocelots have been at war for generations. Battles have left some settlements in ruins. Others teem with refugees. Even away from the fighting, towns and villages suffer from having their fighting-age citizens lured away or conscripted by one faction or the other. Players control their armies and try to wipe out their opponents! Use terrain, abilities and pure cowardice if need be to achieve victory for your faction!

Normally I would bash you for using "revenue share" as a payment method, but I'm assuming this is a really, really small studio, as a $1000 Kickstarter wouldn't cover almost any expenses in a serious project. I do think that something is better than nothing, though, and you could get away with offering a really small value as advancement along with the eventual revenue shares.

Anyway, I wish you luck with the project.

I see that your team/studio has released other apps on Google Play. How much did those apps make? How much would a potential developer make working for you based upon your past experiences?

Hi.

I'm available as a writer and level designer. I worked on Thief fan missions before and was involved in an RPG project at some point in time. I am also a published author. I'm willing to contribute to this wonderful project.

Considering the unique nature of this contract, however (the revenue share clause and all that), I will only be able to deliver my levels and quests piecemeal until the proper royalty milestones have been met.

That means you will receive 20% of a level/quest right now, and once the game has made enough profit to pay for my first milestone in revenue shares, you will receive the next 20 percent.

Once the game has made enough profits to pay all my milestones, you will have received 100% of the content!

This content delivery model would put your game into the illustrous company of countless early access titles that failed to deliver their content piece by piece.

As far as undelivered Kickstarters go, this looks like one of the more forgivable offenses. I'm still waiting on Arcadian Atlas. $95,000 from 2400 backers, last update 15 months ago. And most of the updates were just things like "Hey, we made this tool for making maps," and "Here's our process for drawing a raccoon."
