you know i can just look up your posting history to see you play path of exile and pillars of eternity right

I am aware of that and yes it is true what you say. The last singleplayer RPG that I purchased was Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire and before that I believe Shadowrun: Dragonfall. There is a reason why I say POE is the best rpg of the decade; most of my rpg time goes there. There is hardly any rpg coming out which can compete with it.

P4G, Troubleshooter, and Trials of Mana all got 4s from me. I had to give Yakuza a 3 due to it being far too cutscene heavy. I don't think I played anything else on the poll.

I only played Cyberturd and the Korean one. Both "ok" to me. What the fuck are all these other titles? Pretty hilarious, huh? We're too disconnected with this genre, after all. Old men are the future indeed

It's possible to create a poll like this where being logged in (to your Google account) is required.
Yes, because one uses a Google account for a Google form that ships data to a Google sheet. That process is streamlined. The downside, obviously, is needing a Google account, when, I'm sure, many of us are trying to get off that shitty platform.

It's the same system I've been using since 2014
In theory you could indeed vote 50 times, and some assholes do that
if people keep abusing it, why haven't you changed the system?
Google sheets is easy, fast and decently reliable. I tried doing a voting that required you to be logged in the Codex, but that took way longer and requires tempting the gods by asking DU to do it for me. And the results were basically the same.

That wouldn't be a Codex GOTY either though, because it'd require a google account.

Just as I thought this shit is advertised on Twitter, and since every person registered there is a retard, we'll surely get a great RPG Codex poll...:deadhorse:

Why in the fuck is a Codex poll being advertised on twitter?

Because felipepepe is a faggot.

The situation is like living in the Soviet bloc. You have money, there are shops and they have things inside, but you want none of them. Some people are content to wear, eat, smell and drive shit, others dream of the Golden West.

If the question is what ways people have to cope, you could also switch to a different genre.

For example simulations with RPG elements are a lot less retarded, and if you use mods they can still be great fun.

You wish. I do these for myself, because I enjoy checking the data and seeing how the games are rated. Your gratitude or butthurt is irrelevant.

From the above it's obvious that fantadomat 's poll is the real Codex RPGOTY poll. This one is more aptly called "Felipe's survey".

He refers to it as the RPG Codex poll and then shares it outside the forum.

Then we'll get 9001 news posts from Felipe dissecting the result with fancy graphs and talking about the "shocking" result of Cyberpunk getting a million '4' votes.

Anonymous is bad enough, sharing it outside the forum is even worse.

I was interesed while these polls had some methodology.

This year it's like "I subjectively picked a bunch of games, made the poll anonymous and public, advertised it outside the Codex, but it's still the Codex RPGOTY. And if you don't like it "that's too bad".

At the end of the day, why the hell should I vote in this survey?

Why advertise a Codex poll outside the Codex -- Twitter of all places, jfc -- gathering data from non-Codex members and publishing the results as the Codex's official game of the year?

:retarded:

It should be scrapped and started over, preferably with a members only poll.

Codex ratings shouldn't be tainted by filthy le redditors or twitter degenerates.

With this pandemic and everyone working from home in their py(a)jamas, standards for everything have dropped to an all-time low.

Ah cause some day felipepe will be interviewed on the new york times about his rpg book and as rpg influencer, while jealousy and butthurt skyrocket here. Exactly like that psychopath of rpg"addict" one guy who got famous about rpg while not enjoying them. You get a newsposter who never play any single of them either, why does it seems more wrong to you ?

Unless he has an OnlyFans I don't know about, anyone following him would do so because of the crpg book which is well liked here, so it's not like he's asking random redditors that have vastly different opinions from the regular users.
