So, the enemies of bear sex managed to stop the seemingly inevitable. Interesting. Seems like downvoting proved to be an effective strategy. Hence we'll see more of this in next year GOTY votings.

Too bad Phantom Liberty (a legitimate expansion that provided a redemption arc to Cyberpunk 2077) dropped below Underrail Heavy Duty, a glorified equipment DLC.

Not too happy about Heads Will Roll: Reforged spot, but I guess it was too obscure for most Codexers.

The real value is the discussion we had along the way

I don't think many people played the CP expansion, I refunded CP2077 after playing through it due to how they handled things. And never looked back, I think most other did not either.

It's a shame it was so bland and broken, there were some really excellent story beats and scenes in the base game, it just fell flat nearly everywhere else.

Nº of votes shows you how most people only play the most famous rpg and ignore most, if not all, indie rpgs. Diablo IV and Starfield, both the last two games, had more people playing it than all but one game after the top 4 (Cyberpunk 2077, which is also another famous RPG).

Both Colony Ship and Baldur's Gate 3 had more people playing than either of those three, with BG3 by a massive margin, and JA3 and Rogue Trader also had more than either Diablo or Starfield

Well, that is why I said "all but one game (cyberpunk 2077) after the top 4". CS, BG3, JA3 and Rogue Trader are the very top 4 games. :nocountryforshitposters:

Spotted two pathetic shills racofer and Hellraiser who give high scores to their shilling targets and 1/5 to everything else. Good to know to never bother reading your gaming posts anymore, despite such a long forum presence. Shameful behavior.

Next time Felipe should remove votes like those and remove their right to vote again. Just create .txt file for "not allowed to vote" which should also add anyone that said they voted 1/5 or 5/5 for a game they have not played. C&C, faggots.

For context, Divinity: Original Sin 1 had 1% of 1/1 votes in 2014. Baldur's Gate 3 had 13% of 1/5 votes.

So either BG3 is far worse than D:OS1, or 2024 Codex is far worse than 2014 Codex. Very hard to tell.
Indeed, very hard.

Honestly, not worth the effort. For all their effort to downvote BG3, they merely managed to budge it to place 2. That's pretty hilarious

I'm more sad that all the energy spent and great games like Moonring go rather unnoticed, that's the real crime

Yup, fuck that shit. The real decline of the Codex are the culture warriors stricken with a chronic butthurt towards games they did not play.

The butthurt over the "vote spoiling", something that happens in every one of these polls, is funny as.

Come on, this always happens. Did people have real money on this or something?

The tastes of newer and older Codexers don't seem to be radically different, though there are some (mild) discrepancies. Going by pure arithmetic mean scores, "oldfags" don't seem to like Rogue Trader or JA3 as much as the rest of the Codex and instead they are more fond of Baldur's Gate 3. Caves of Lore seems to be the most 'consistent' title of the five in terms of enjoying the same degree of popularity among both newer and older users.

The fact it always happens doesn't make it any less pathetic.

And I didn't even care about BG3 - I neither own it, played it nor voted for it.

Still I consider downvoting games you never played lame and sad. It spoils the fun for all the fair play voters.
