Ah, Rutskarn. He's a member of Shamus Young's LP crew. A pretty cool guy.

Nice review, bros. This game is more or less what I expected it to be. Your review confirmed my assumptions. Added Unrest to my wishlist.

Deuce Traveler Overboard I can't be talked into it! Ever! My fear of the codex masses is considerable.
Seriously, I'm :love:you think I should write D:OS review, but I'd rather one of the oldfags around here did it. It's a truly great game that deserves a great review, and anything I could come up with wouldn't do it justice. You can bet I'll be up on that review thread giving feedback, though.

A little strapped for cash right now, but I'm definitely going to give the game a spin. Nice and informative review, as usual.

Didn't he start some shit a few years ago? Yes, he did.

Looking up all 'drama' between twentysided and the Codex, one can even find story fragments of sea's assimilation into the Codexian Collective. :D

Resistance is futile.

Looks like they add too much fantasy elements to the setting.
That's so unfortunate man. :(
Why don't they use more familiar ages in India civilization like the reign of Ashoka, the Mughals, or the rise of Chola Empire and shit.
But the age when Chola raped Srivijaya will be the obvious win. :obviously:
Anyway, the gameplay is more adventure than RPG, so I'm not that excited even with all those wild dreams of mine.

I have put about a couple hours into it so far, having a lot of fun. Writing's good and I get the sense that there is a lot of nuance in how things can play out depending on your choices... at one point I even got some extra dialog because I turned down someone's offer for help on principle not once, but multiple times, which apparently pissed them off and got them to give some insight into the story I don't think I'd have gotten otherwise. Very cool!
