there is no specific order above, since it wasn't asked for, but yes, it's one of my favourite RPGs, despite the simplistic mechanics. it's like an excellent tabletop campaign, designed by a friend who put a lot of love and heart into it.

Thanks for the answer - I have never played RoT, but tried Drakensang some time ago and found it quite linear and boring. As your other recommendations are close to mine, maybe I should try RoT.

Thanks for the answer - I have never played RoT, but tried Drakensang some time ago and found it quite linear and boring. As your other recommendations are close to mine, maybe I should try RoT.

River of Time was much better. Shorter/more compact, more grounded story, fewer trash encounters though they're still there. But that they went with a butchered real time ruleset without collisions instead of the turn based system of the old Realms of Arkania games will forever be the tragedy of this series.
