I realize my list is likely nothing like others. I have very specific tastes and 80 hours of bear fucking is not one of them.
Not reading the poll instructions is clearly one of your tastes though, lot of console ports in there.
Only PC games. Multi-platform titles like KotOR or Dark Souls are ok, but no 20-years-later ports like Chrono Trigger.
None of the games listed are 20 year old ports. They all got PC releases within a reasonable time frame of their console versions.

You can vote for a game you worked on. MF voted for Titan Outpost as a hidden gem too.

My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
I don't like the split between "RPGs" and "Hidden Gems", as it's hard for me to tell which one is supposed to be which. I don't think AoD or CS should be considered "Hidden Gems", as they're very widely known on Codex, if not in the mainstream. Similarly, calling Archolos a hidden gem, despite it winning mod-of-the-year awards feels a bit odd.

Also, limiting this to 10 positions makes the voting really painful :(

Top RPGs:
- Fallout
- Fallout 2
- Gothic
- Gothic 2
- Archolos
- Gothic 3 (sue me)
- Jagged Alliance 2
- Space Rangers 2
- Alpha Protocol
- Planescape Torment

Hidden Gems:
- Lords of Infinity
- West of Loathing
- Shadows over Loathing
- XPirateZ (...if JA2 qualifies..?)
- King of Dragon Pass
- Titan Outpost
- Golf Story
- Ouroboros
- Sunless Sea
- Tales of Maj'Eyal

To me "hidden gem" -> game the Codex rarely, if ever, would talk about.

That's kind of hard as to say a game is Hidden Gem it has to be somewhat good and good RPGs are talked about a lot on the codex. For normies ATOM or Age of Decadence are hidden gems, but here they are pretty much more known and discussed than most AAA RPGs.

Well some hidden games are not talked about or not considered hidden gems by the Codex.
I nominated JRPGs because the vast majority won't ever talk about them but they are great games on their own.

  7. Sengoku Rance
  8. Wizardry 8
  9. Fear & Hunger
  10. Anachronox
I put New Vegas on the "Hidden Gems" list even though it's popular because it took me a lot of time to find the mods to fix the base game and the installation process has a lot of overhead (compared to Bloodlines, in example). Other than that, I'd say the top 5 "Hidden Gems" qualify as hidden outside of RPGCodex but proper RPGs, the bottom 5 are perhaps games that don't have as much of an RPG-element focus but what little they have is still worth mentioning.

Ah yes, the hidden gem Fallpit New Vegas popular on Codex and normies alike. You retards are going to fuck up this hidden gem list.
Right now the top 5 games on the hidden gems list are all probably going to be on the top rpgs list (AoD is literally first atm). That stuff isn't going to be included in the published list.

6. Baldur's Gate 2

*wasn't sure what qualifies as such, so I went with some titles that might be popular here, but are definitely not considered A-listers by the greater gaming world
