Hey! Someone's shooting at my new car driver!
Once again the game just plops us straight into battle.
Against a group of glass-cannon type raiders. Who are still probably using early-game tech. This will be a massacre.
Unfortunately, our big slow buses take time to get into firing range, and it turns out the super heavy lasers actually take time to turn towards their target before they can fire.
Of course, none of that matters once the lasers are actually fired.
FUEL
PRECIOUS PRECIOUS FUEL
Good grief I was worrying that we'd run out what with the lack of random battles and all!
oh, and the car is nice as well I guess.
The stem bolts lie 287KM to the
Really game? You are repeating the encounter that just gave us a new car?
AND YOU ACTUALLY GAVE US A SECOND ASHLEY
Seriously. The game wasn't this insect-prone even on release, and that's saying something.
We are only allowed four vehicles at a time, so it's time to get rid of Good Squad. Let's face it: Goon Squad was destined to get abandoned like this eventually. Say your last farewells.
The game was even so kind to put Goon Squad's weapon back into our inventory.
...Say, aren't we supposed to be searching for ship parts? WOW did we ever get sidetracked.
Plague Town is 271 KM away to the south. Bear in mind that we don't actually have to visit the place before leaving the planet
The
Blue R998X Chip (gotta be
blue, not
any other color) is 131 KM eastward. We are quickly getting to the point where we have the firepower to take it on, if we don't already.
The Sonic Screw Convoy is 140 KM to the southeast. It will probably involve shooting as well.
The Stem Bolt Monopoly
is 287 KM to the southwest
The Ethanol Chemist is 131 KM to the Northeast.
Rather critically, there is a camp 94 KM to the northwest. This crosses privateer territory. Good! We might actually see a random battle to gain fuel from!
And there is also two radio signals to the north that we can get distracted by, because clearly we need to get sidetracked further.
