According to German site <a href=http://www.gamestar.de>GameStar.de</a>, the German version of <a href=http://ascaron.com/gb/gb_sacred/index.html>Sacred</a>, the <a href=http://blizzard.com/diablo2/>Diablo 2</a>-like action RPG whose <a href=http://mirrors-1v.club-internet.fr/pub/games/nofrag/sacred/demos/sacreddemoeng.exe>English demo was recently released</a>, has gone <b>GOLD</b> in Germany and is on track for release this month. Here's the Babelfish translation of the <a href=http://www.gamestar.de/news/pc-spiele/adventure/16214/>newsbit on GameStar</a>.
<br>
<br>
<blockquote>How Publisher Take 2 just admits by press release gave, the action game of roles Sacred reached today gold status. Thus Sacred as planned on 27 February 2004 in the shelves to stand. You read a detailed test to Sacred in the current expenditure 03/2004, which is up-to-date because of the kiosk.</blockquote>

Wouldn't it be awesome if the whole game was translated by <a href=http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/>Babelfish</a>?

I really think there's only one thing most of us want to know:

When is Sacred action game of roles leaving Germany and being in countries other Europe or/and Americas? :)

I love Babelfish...it's like a retarded Yoda...

Your imagination is too limited. Just one game translated by Babelfish? Now, classic novels translated by Babelfish...that would be funny.

Eight in German is Acht or something. I cant remember the spelling, it was a long ass time ago when I learned German, I only remember the sounds, heh.

And for the Mega-Babelfish-Translation, i'll do it on that newsbit:

Acquisition 2 of the publishing one how it approves exactly by the launching of the news, gave the state of the gold that the game of the ion of the behavior of the paper santo reaches today. Therefore holiness that because it is stopped plans the 2004 of February 27mo of the shelf. The test is ***reflxed mng where the present cost 03/2004 is santo that is updated for the detailed kiosk.

And then add in a bit of Pornolize for the second helping:

Acquisition 2 of the ballbusting publishing one how it approves exactly by the wanking of the farts, gave the smooching state of the gold that the game of the fingering ion of the fingerfucking behavior of the thrusting paper santo reaches today. Therefore cocksucks that because it is barfed plans the gangbanging 2004 of February 27mo of the shelf. The test is ***fucked mng where the present cost 03/2004 is santo that is updated for the screwing pecked kiosk.

This game is fucking sweet. I cannot iterate enough on how fucking sweet it is. I was half expecting to play a low-quality, sub-par, unpolished title before I downloaded the demo, but once I installed it, I was pwned.

The game is VAST, and the graphics are totally sweet unlike the screenshots you see. Man, check the demo out, it's totally worth it.

I love how each of the characters has their own vignette to start off their quests and that's just a part of what I like about the game.

I thought we were all in agreement that Germans having access to things with gore and violence would result in bad things happening, no? Did I miss a meeting or something?

While I agree for the most part, I just hope they make it a bit more difficult and fix some of the bugs I encountered. I had this one bug where everytime I got on my horse, my character would be standing on it. I spent forever trying to find a way to stop this bug but it eventually ended up with my character becoming one with the horse. :shock: It happened right after I clicked on the horse you save from the wolves in the second village. I had left my other horse in town. I think it messed the game up that I got on a horse when I owned one already. Weird shit.

Damn, because I found some minotaur things that are currently beating my ass. Gladiator seems a lot more fun than Seraphim, but maybe that's because I'm not smart enough to figure out how to cast spells. I'm not even sure if I have spells, to tell the truth.

Heh, the same thing happened in earlier times of Dark Age of Camelot, they eventually fixed it though. I remember entering the game for the first time and seeing people standing on horses keep flying past. Was strange.

You've saved the girl's horse? Damn. I've tried that quest several times- twice I couldn't get there fast enough to save the girl! (I stop and kill things)
I really like that it is possible to fail quests in this game. Much better than the mission failed/ reload or static objectives that will wait forever for the great hero to show up and fix things...

Saint- those minotaurs can be rough- luring them off one at a time usually works best, and keep your hand over the space bar for the healing potions, since they hit so hard. The gladiator seems to have a much easier time with them. Though with the Seraphim, you could try throwing the Irritation spell at them, one at time. You should have that from the chest at the very beginning (where you get your wings). The spells work the same as the combat actions, have it in one of the right slots (#6-9 on the keyboard), have it highlighted, and right click on the target...

Man, I'm ticked.. I just finally got a character mean enough to beat up minotaurs and the damned demo end thing faded my game to black.. MEH. Would have been better if the demon thing just ran you back the other way or attacked you.

I liked how Jeff handled it in Avernum 3 where eventually the big nasty shareware demon would block your path.

Hit I for inventory, then you'll see the pluses near where your skills are. From there you hit the little green button near the top, it will change to red and you can raise your attributes like str and such.

That switch thing actually confused me for a while as well. It's kind of odd that I've found armor that requires 100 Strength, knowing that I have only 32 strength and only get one attribute point per level. :)

The attributes seem to go up on a set scheme, based on class. The single point is apparently discritionary on top of that. Rather meaningless, spread between six or so stats, but its that illusion of choice. And of course, all the while, you're being taunted by items that require 100+ str/dex or whatever...

Actually, I stumbled on the whole thing without even talking to her charge back at the house, so I 'technically' did not get the quest. Yet, once I spoke with her, the quest markers appeared on my minimap and I went and talked to her charge and completed the quest. :P
