A classic in 3D gaming.
Good they implemented that bug, too.
This must be why the game is taking so long to release. They have to get all the classic features in before launch. Next patch will feature chickens that report crimes.

Seven years, $150 million, and not even close to a finished game

If you wrote this as fiction everyone would shit on it as too unrealistic

Never underestimate the Eternal "Indie" Game Dev

One of their big network optimizations, bind culling, got pushed back to the 2nd Quarter release. If they want people playing the game in 3.x they really need to prioritize that stuff. I got on a few times this week to check out patch 3.0.1, and stability and performance might have gotten even worse since 3.0.0. Framerates between 10 - 30 fps. I was able to get through about 1 out of every 4 cargo runs without my game crashing, and losing all my cargo.

The worst thing is that the game seems so boring. All this time and only thing that they have worked on is how shiny the ships are and how much money they can skim from the retards that buy them. From what i have seen on videos, the combat is shit and there are only few types of missions that existed 20 years ago. This scam will blow up once the game is out and the whales come the conclusion that they have played the finished version for years now. I can make far better game than this shit if someone gives me 180 millions, and i don't know shit about programming and game making. This kind of incompetence should the criminal, better yet punishable the spartan way.

Some would have probably have been able to go to space for real if they donated that amount of money to Elon Musk instead.

With 180 mil I'd just have a ton of bitches on my yacht. Video of that would be way better than anything Star Citizen has put out.
Hahahahaha, mate i am from Bulgaria,i can do both. I can make the yacht the working place and a bardak and the storage place will be filled with cocaine. Still it will be cheaper than their florida studio and we will do more work between the fucking and the snorting.

Fuckers gave him too much money up front. Why work your ass off to finish making a coherent product if people pay you hundreds of millions to "work" on it instead.
I don't pay my local polish grocer to 'sow potato seeds' either. Silly people.

There was no other alternatives. Last time i played a wing commander that was on pentium PC, so long ago i barely remember, if only squadron 42 is a good solo game it will be worth it.People are desesperate for good games, and can forgive a lot. Look at kingdcom come succes, buggy rushed and clunky but sell a million. "they are billions" early access unfinished small indie game but sells a ton cause its fun and no one makes RTS anymore either. There's a lot of money to earn just by making good games like we had in the 90's but no they prefer to make phone shit for fast buck or hipster sjw stuff none want to buy...

PC gaming continues to be saved apparently.

Well he is a visionary genius but you see he doesn't realize that he is milking whales for all they're worth, this is a completely unexpected side effect his broad infinite mind cannot quite comprehend

Christ Roberts.

Or, as some fans are starting to realize the true state of the game, and who is responsible for the development scope:
Christ, Roberts ...
