I know Skyrim has a "Birds of Skyrim" mod that adds a full fauna of wild and domestic birbs into it, ranging from seagulls and fowl to willow tits and snow buntings. You can even harvest souls from them (and chicken breast from the bigger ones), but I only killed some pigeons because I'm not a monster.

So this mechanic is called Babymare in the Japanese version. For some reason for the English version they went with Insectmare. Sounds dumb and it doesn't fit the cow plushie, but whatever. It's a cool mechanic.
