One of the prettiest side scrollers that I have a played so far,

This one reminds me a lot of the cover of Blut Aus Nord - Hallucinogen

The gameplay is kept simple, the difficulty is easy and mission don't take long. Well-suited for relaxing 30-45 min sessions after work looking at the gorgeous backgrounds.

Some AoD screenshots I managed to hunt down. They're not in the codex or NMA gallery and reverse image search turns up barely nothing, I suspect they're among the many Vince posted in the early days using imageshack that are all now dead links. All the interview images are dead too(gamebanshee, IGN, ...), none of it is saved on archive.org.
I'd imagine someone at ITS probably has these somewhere, but, eh

Got some real trippy graphics and plays quite differently than I thought. A bit like a mix of Ghostrunner, Hotline Miami and Max Payne when you play on max difficulty. Being invulnerable and having free slow-mo during special movements really puts the emphasize on movement and less on the shooting. Its quite different from F.E.A.R. besides being first person with slow mo. The destructible environments with the frenzied movement work well together.
