Have you played AVP 2?

Of course, AvP2 is leagues ahead of most modern shooters and any shooter fan should play it. But the insane speed and the short missions without the ability to save make AvP1 special. The first game is just perfect to jump in to get right to the action. The campaigns in AvP2 do a better job at combining story and action but the raw gameplay does feel a bit toned down compared to AvP1.

I agree. The Marine missions take it slow,building tension and horror,but eventually goes right to the action.The Predator campaign is also pretty good,essentially a revenge story.
