My biggest battle so far. Used the old Total War 'bridge defense' to funnel the Union troops into the trap. The AI only had a couple of other bridges to use, but the large bridge that lead to the objective point was manned by my best troops and tons of artillery. A slaughter ensued, and nearly crashed my system.

Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Codex Year of the Donut Pathfinder: Wrath
I see 1 (and 2) bit games are trendy lately.

Here's a little game created by a polish dentist, everything drawn in MS paint.

I like the general idea and vibe of the game. But overall it's a fairly simple PC version of card oriented board games.
Perks (and maybe even curses) should have more opportunities to shine.
I would love to see a proper RPG version of it, but that's probably not going to happen.

It's been awhile since i last saw these kind of traps in a videogame.

Fuck! Of course there is going to be one of those right in front of a shiny gun.

C'mon! Finding this one was too easy.

I kinda like the environments here, despite them being mostly brown and grey.

I don't think there are many people here who can't recognize Quake.

The first one is a breath of fresh air already but what's impressive is that EA actually greenlit an inclined sequel where they completely ditched firearms for martial arts.

It's open world but it doesn't detract in any way as the map isn't that big and when you think about it parkour is about figuring out the shortest route, not having a single Simon Says solution. Story missions are still scripted with high-quality FMVs so you could even play it as a 6-hour "cinematographic" experience if you wanted to... though you'd be way underselling it. The city is absolutely stunning.

Sequel was totally underrated! I remember people complaining the open world was underwhelming because it wasn't Ubisoft-style. Personally I loved that is was relatively small and just open enough to have fun optimizing routes between points of interests, and finding the occasional secret.

That's 2 Jeff Minter games down, 9+ to go.

My vacation is almost over and I'll leave all my consoles behind, so no score-chasing for me, sadly.

Minter games I played but haven't beaten yet:
Tempest 2000
Defender 2000
Space Giraffe

Armageddon for HoMM 3, an excellent user-made map. Rather "autistic", but I'll take autism before storyfaggotry any day.

The kind of vampires that suck.

That reminds me...I have to buy a Christmas presents for my nephew.

Tazar is such an idiot-savant; 99 in all stats, but didn't even know a basic Cure spell.

With a twist below:

:obviously:

Anyway, more than 5 hours of classical TR fun.

Verdict:

:3/5:

With first 3 games (and their "gold" add-ons) completed, I think I can now end my "entire TR series" playthrough. RIP in peace, Indiana Jones with Boobs. :salute:

Oh, cool! do I fight the aliens later on? No? oh... okay.

Yeah... No new game+ or unlockables, things have indeed changed (also a roadmap for a single-player game ).

Okay... the secret cabal of rich people that want to force evolution with the virus is retarded beyond words. Resident Evil 5 at least didn't try to take itself seriously.

Me IRL when I beat someone online.

Yeah, the final boss was shit. Not even fun to look at like The Hivemind in dead space or the moon in DS3.
