I was surprised to realize that after beating tons of videogames, I... I...
I suck at playing Doom. Oh well, it's not like I was good at it anyway, but still, I feel embarrassed to die on Ultra-Violence difficulty.

BROS, I gave up on Silent Hill 2 PC

1) To install the game, I had to use my WinXP netbook. The game installed fine.
2) After cuntpasting game files to my Win7 x64 rig, I was able to run the game. Unfortunately, as soon as you choose anything else than "new game" or "quit", that is "options" or "movies", the game will crash. So, there's no chance to change any settings except by manually editing the settings.ini file. The game looks like this on default settings:

quCmNma.jpg

800x600, no whistles. There are some serious slowdowns when trying to access inventory or map.

3) You can use this "Modern Compatibility Fix" I posted earlier to get some "default" settings.ini and hexedit the exe to desired resolution (widescreen). If you're successful, the game will launch fine:

1680x1050, advanced options on (probably, no way to check them -> crash). Slowdowns still present.

3) If you screw something up and crash the game, settings.ini gets overwritten, which leads to this:

I played through Silent Hill 2 and 3 on PC and had no problems (2 on win7, 3 on win8). It's been a while and I might have done some tweaking to make them work, but I seem to remember not having any huge issues with the games.

Stalker Clear Sky + Spartan 11:11: The Lions Roar v1.0 testers version
unfortunately there are no enemies in last release on new maps...

Too bad dev is disappeared... That was going to be the best mod for Clear Sky, not only for map addition that nowadays could be not so impressive, and one of the hardest mod ever of Stalker series with lots of features still being true to the game...
CS is considered the weakest chapter of the serie, but it has some amazing moments...

The mod is called 1257 AD. It covers entire Europe and the middle east (and of course you can go crusadin').

Aye thanks. I think I tried the OTHER big mod (Europe 1200?) for Warband and couldn't get into it.
I think I played vanilla Warband so much I exhausted all the fun out of it. Hoping Bannerlord 1) actually gets made 2) improves upon
Warband in every single way.

BROS, leeched and tested PS2 version of Silent Hill 2 - Director's Cut (E)
The game works like charm (stable 50 FPS) even with 3x internal and FXAA.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
The actor that was Al Pacino replacement did a fine job. Sometimes I couldn't tell the diffrence between them. And during the cutscenes and shooting parts he is swearing like a master. The bigger guns make much damage, there are gibs flying everywhere, heads exploding. Total escapism of violence. And lots of coke dealing between. Good Gta clone. Soundtrack with various radio stations was very good too.

Just started the last part of Deponia.

This has got to be one of the most painfully unfunny games ever made. And the game with the most annoying protagonist, bar none.
I find myself just skipping all the horrible dialogue. It's just cringeworthy.
The puzzles, locations and artwork make up for it, I guess. Not many adventures like this around anymore, that's what saves it.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again: There's a reason he is like he is. Around the mid-game you'll probably scream at the monitor, but if you stick through to the end you just might get this game. Check back with me if you don't.

The fact that there is a reason doesn't automatically make it good, does it?
I'm already at the third part, and my patience is gone. But I will see this through to the end, read your interpretation, and report back.
