Too bad the eyes are only colorful from the inside.
==>
New locations for KSP are really fun but also rape my computer really bad. For whatever reason there's always horrible stutter for a good while before I can properly play. As if all the new models were loading in some really inefficient manner.
==>
It can fly!
==>
But then FAR shows up, steps on my castle and kicks the sand in my eyes.
==>
==>
I try to build cooler stuff...
==>
==>
==>
==>
==>
But FAR is... well, fuck you FAR, I gonna build bigger, that's how you fix your problems in KSP! But first, disaster photos.
==>
==>
==>
==>
==>
Newest B9 pack contains some really massive parts, engines too! So let's see what we can do with them...
I begin by attempting to construct a massive spaceship, made specifically to spectacularly fall apart in the atmosphere. FAR is installed to significantly improve the fireworks.
==>
==>
==>
==>
==>
This pile of junk took me 4 hours, 7 crashes and half a jar of peanut butter to make.
==>
==>
==>
When I first saw this I thought about that preparation scene from Cameron's Aliens when dropship was flying deeper into the colony's power plant.
==>
==>
==>
Of course, entire effort becomes moot when you don't use a single piece of holy space tape. At least Jebediah seems happy.
==>
==>
==>
After applying some debug magic...
==>
==>
It's obviously incapable of getting off the ground nor sexually given all those disturbing similarities to surgically "enhanced" deflated penises.
==>
But that's what's for HyperEdit!
==>
Hello there pretty lady, you look nice, real nice...
==>
==>
==>
==>
==>
Woah, that's way too advanced maneuver for me!
==>
==>
==>
And that's trippy.
==>
We finally hit atmosphere proper!
==>
==>
==>
You're getting almost as good frame rate as I had when I made those pictures.
==>
==>
==>
==>
==>
==>
==>
==>
Eventually, we get out of hot zone and into the pandemonium of invisible levitating dwarves, all very hangover and angry and armed with big hammers and we just happen to fly right trough the lot of them in a giant exploding spaceship.
==>
==>
==>
==>
==>
==>
Roughly at this moment, framerate skyrocketed into normal again, probably some super clipping physics glitching parts got finally ripped apart.
==>
==>
And here's the core of our ship.
==>
After this wonderfully slideshowy failure I set out to construct another ship...
Here's the core, it's a box in a box design where basic command pod is stuck inside first tier large B9 parts and those are stuck in the largest B9 parts.
==>
Basics done, the command pod block is exactly in the middle of the ship.
==>
This baby took only an hour to make, and I haven't forgotten the goddamn space tape!
==>
==>
==>
For completely unrealistic and impractical reasons I gave this ship a barrage of toughest landing legs available.
==>
I think that's a lot of money...
==>
I did good enough job that it doesn't immediately explode nor falls over though it seems to be leaning a bit...
==>
IT FLIES! ^O^
==>
==>
==>
If it was actually controllable(not at 2 frames per second) I think that atmospheric heating would indicate that I could have flown a bit slower and have more fuel to fly further...
==>
The moment we run out of fuel, our framerate skyrockets and we realize that there's no way we suffer trough the same bullshit and maneuver this behemoth for an hour just to see it fall apart in atmosphere Our computer agrees and before we manage to activate HyperEdit, probably a tenth crash occurs.
==>
Like always, we learn a very easily forgettable lesson that building with sense is the only way to build and make something much lesser in scope and much more in function.
==>
Here's a rockomax tank for easy size comparison.
==>
Fire Cracker takes off with ease and as we live the green pastures I notice that I left the DBT-1 on the runway and it started giving me vibes like those head banging temples in Populous The Beginning. Huh.
==>
I don't know what's the red mode for in mega engine. It has much lower thrust and rapidly consumes both basic fuel and electricity.
==>
Nice little moment of exhaust transition between engine modes. It's probably a bad idea to switch modes when high powered engine is turned on. Probably.
==>
I have no idea how to use them properly, but they are orgasmic nonetheless.
==>
Not as impressive but still pretty cool.
==>
HyperEdit helps us on a more favorable orbit.
==>
B9 RCS thrusters prove their worth allowing us keep our badly balanced ship in the position we want.
==>
Almost immediately as we enter the goddamn burn zone, FAR decapitates my ship and I have to fuck around with camera to keep it at fireworks. Not much else TBH, only one piece of hull got to the ground aside of command pod. Rest was lost to the Kraken, or rendering limits of the game.
