Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Yep, it's The Bards Tale, not a long hack and slash, but humour is what keeped me hooked. The Bard and narrator voice actors did a great work. I was annoyed little by the filler combat at the end, and the respawns of enemies if you entered some building and re-entered. Well, at least it's not long enough to make you rage.

What's the consensus on DoomRL?
No idea about consensus but I say it's a fantastic roguelike and suitably Doom-y. Easy enough and friendly enough for newbies to learn roguelikes on and deep enough for regular roguelike players to enjoy. It's one of my favorites.

The next release is going to be awesome. New challenges for ultranerds (I might try Archangel of 666 myself), new uniques, new levels, new traits.

I wish I had never played a roguelike when i try to get into DoomRL, my hands have so many roguelike conventions in them that I can't unlearn

Those textures are pretty atrocious
Nextgen looks worse than 2007 gen apparently.

Those textures are pretty atrocious but I suppose that is result of trying to produce a game capable of running on the 360's measly system specs or art direction is extremely retarded. Given modern developer trends I am going to go with some combination of the two and let you beta members chime in what percentage of both it is.

Does that mod have very different mechanics to normal CK?
Not radically different but it looks like they put a ton of custom events in for every character/region/whatever. For example my Craster game fell to pieces because wildlings are assholes and constantly fight among themselves, so I was raided twice and then a neighboring chief finally took my land.
