Codex 2012
Finished another playthrough of Dishonored and the two story DLCs. One of my favorite games of the last decade or so. The DLCs are especially good in that they address one of main issues I had with the the base game had, that is the small size of the individual areas; A Captain of Industry and Eminent Domain from The Knife of Dunwall, and The Dead Eels from The Brigmore Witches give you some very spacious, intricately designed areas to explore, usually with a great focus on vertical exploration. I also appreciate that in Daud's missions the objectives are more involved than the repetitious "take out the target" objectives of the base game (with the exception of The Royal Physician, which happened to be my favorite mission in the base game, so I am glad most of the DLC missions play out like that one). There are numerous NPCs related to side quests or alternate methods of approaching the main objectives, making the areas feel more dense in comparison to some of the sparsely populated locales Corvo went through.

I really need to play the sequel.

Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy RPG Wokedex Strap Yourselves In Codex+ Now Streaming! Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit. Pathfinder: Wrath
Reference to duke or something else?
Pig cops from Duke is what I'm thinking too, possibly a play on ACAB as well. And the cake is a reference to Portal because there's a need for more of those (there's a cube with a heart in the same room, should've captured that too).

In other news, decided to stop ignoring FPSs and since Blood seems to be praies a lot around here thought I should start with that:

This some good shit :incline:

I'm playing Blood too. Man, this game is so good. Excellent level design, awesome weapons and chilling atmosphere. This was Monolith's crowning achievement.

And normies keep singing praises to FEAR. Fuck this industry. :negative:

It was a dark and stormfull night when a squad of brave freedom fighters sought shelter at a farmhouse.
Unfortunately it was occupied by a bunch of hillbillies, who proved that not all country folk are friendly.

It's time for another rescue trip to Racoon City and help waifu Jill survive.

A good timing is a key to success.

It's good to be back.

Or not... Poor Roqua :(.

Gah, a random angry zombie Blobert appears.

It's time to dance. Nemesis uses his rocket launcher only on longer distances, so it's good to keep him close enough to dodge his attacks and shoot until he is unconscious.

You again! This time you brought some new friends. I love how they move slowly towards when I'm not moving. But only a couple of steps towards them and bam! Creepy and really well done.

Carlos from Umbrella is licking his wounds in a newspaper room. The very romantic moments end quickly.

epsxe2018-03-2620-37-l3rma.jpg

Nemesis should have a one liner "I'll be back". It seems that the more he is failing, the more aggressive he becomes. Evasion of his attacks is crucial if we don't want to see game over screen really quick.

Fuck yeah!

One of the Umbrella mercenaries survivors. Time to find fuel / cable / oil and get the hell out of here.

Time to grab anything useful and leave the gas station before it blows up.

epsxe2018-03-2621-49-4yqgw.jpg

Yep, nothing to see here. Everything is fine!

epsxe2018-03-2621-53-1dr7o.jpg

Damn creepy things. They just make those suggestive moves when they catch you. This is what inspires hentai artists.

epsxe2018-03-2622-05-0qq3s.jpg

The fat guy from the beginning is already a meal. Interesting thing about the whole city, is that enemies show up and spawn in most of the locations even if we kill them. The infestation is growing rapidly while we progress through the "quest".

epsxe2018-03-2622-41-fepc8.jpg

Now now, no need to get worked up!

Another ugly obstruction from the depths of the sewers. Begone, slimy beast.

They're gonna need a bucket and a mop when I'm done with you!

I'm too old for this shit. I finally left the city behind me. Now for the clock tower.

Funny game. But it's also painfully slow and meandering. I'm in Sender Station now and not sure if I want to continue. :shittydog:

At least clear Sunder, the first planet visited from Sender Station. The new area after that should be a good point to judge the rest from, and the cutscene between is one of the better ones in the game.

EDIT: Wrong name, corrected.
