I didn't remember the graphics so good. Is it modded?
Nah, aside from grain it's vanilla 2001 graphics, it isn't really moddable. I'm emulating it at 2x-3x internal res, but on PC you could do that on release.

I played, a long time ago, the vanilla PC version. I was assuming that you were playing the fan-made enhanced version for PC (not the Konami HD remaster that is shit). The shape of the fog in your post is indeed the one from the PS2 version. It has been also re-implemented for PC in the enhanced version, along with other improvements in graphics and gameplay (http://www.enhanced.townofsilenthill.com/SH2/).

I found now a detailed comparison between this enhanced version and the PCSX2 (PS2) emulation: http://enhanced.townofsilenthill.com/SH2/compare.htm. It seems that the PS2 version is still the better version to play. Is a pity that, on my computer, PCSX2 with HW rendering breaks the shadows... (I have to play with SW rendering, so no 2x-3x internal res. The same applies to SH3, SH4, SH Origin and SH Shattered Memories.)

Doesn't feel right posting a bunch of words in a screenshot thread, so here's the rest of bootleg shock2 from months ago.

Weird how there isn't a link to that comparison from their main site page; would've saved me some time. Also, they tested it on dev build but claim that the hw-mode FMV bug's still there, which isn't the case. And they describe OGL-hw shadows as sharp, which is at least half-wrong.
But yeah, I've outlined as much in the other thread. Soft shadows are kind of a deal-breaker. Also, a cutscene-heavy game with hand-placed static-ish cameras is the last thing I'd want to play in an unintended aspect ratio. Half of the fixes in the fan patch are for self-inflicted problems.
As to the shadows breaking in your case, make sure you've tried it in OpenGL mode with a somewhat recent dev build.

While I was going through my games of 2018 list, I noticed that I played neither Deu sEx nor VtMB that year.
Therefore...

I have decided to take a look at Wesp5's latest plus patch version 10.1. There have been a few big changes since last time I played it, around 2.5 years ago.

Ever play Gwent?

He knew too much, and I was thirsty.

The Fat Hatter had donuts hidden behind the counter.
Hm... Now I've made myself sad. His corpse won't disappear either.

She refused to talk to me after this.

Brujah is fairly bland compared to some of the other clans, except for the Celerity discipline. On the highest level you can even dodge bullets. Makes the late-game combat slogs more bearable.

10886384417576583168_pve0d.jpg

The bullets aren't actually modeled.

You can tell Venus to remove the turnstile. Thank goodness. Why is it even there in the first place?

New music was added for this scene where you meet "Nines". It doesn't fit at all.

This is the only major bug I've encountered. The game wouldn't remove the Museum and the Giovanni Stronghold from the map, and I could still go there for the rest of the game.

The Anarchs got a new hotel for the Anarch ending, with guards and everything. Makes more sense than going to the Luckee Star. Besides, I don't have to see Hatter's corpse again.

If you helped Yukie kill the sharkman, you will meet her again at the end in front of the Kuei-Jin temple.

It's the same voice actress. These are unused lines.

10886384417576583168_rjdf9.jpg

Once you've killed everyone here, you can persuade her (I don't know how many points you need) to open a portal which leads directly into Ming-Xiao's chamber. This makes no sense, but it skips most of this boring level.
While I appreciate the effort, something smells off about this entire sequence. Her fight AI has problems with doors, always gets stuck on them. Then she has this creepy stare in her eyes. And a short cutscene of the opening portal would have been nice too. Yuki will most likely be inside the building when you ask her to open it. Then she just says "ok" as if it's nothing, and you don't see or hear anything. A clueless player might just continue to the next map and miss the portal.

10886384417576583168_bsfb4.jpg

According to the walkthrough you can also persuade Chunk to let you go directly to the sheriff. It didn't work for me despite having 10 points in persuasion. Maybe I've picked the wrong options.

Hah yeah, I played this scenario too and fought the Gnome Upgrade in the same spot as well. Overall I'm really loving this, even with the issues. I also encountered the Knight units bug, one AI had about 500 Veteran Pikemen at one point.

I finally got the time to replay this game, which I wanted for a long time. So, this is a game about your character(Boku) spending his summer vacation(The title of the game can be both My summer vacation or Boku's summer vacation, Boku is I in Japanese) at his uncle's house in Japan's countryside, which is 31 days of August 1975. You can fish, catch bugs and pit them against each other, water plants, fly kites and some more things while exploring the place. It's pretty much an idealized Japanese summer vacation in a rural town. The game is mostly about the fun of childhood in a rural town instead of plot(as if there is any) or anything like that. It's a kid's game, after all. So far I just played one day(one evening, in fact). I think this game is the definition of "comfy game", btw.
This is Boku. His father is taking him to his uncle's house.

Here is the whole family eating. Boku, Boku's uncle, his wife and their two daughters. This is the last meal of the day, btw. You can also get some barley tea or milk from the fridge here, if your character is thirsty.
LrCHht0.jpg

The little girl is watching TV there, while the father is reading the news and the mother is there to keep him company(like any good wife out there).
BmGatVa.jpg

This is a gift from his uncle. The content, sadly, is not what the cover shows. It's a kit for bug capturing(it even include medicine for them, I forgot the take an ss, I'll do it later). Btw, the cover of the box says "Heroes of the sky". Pretty cool.
oqSL5d3.jpg

This is outside the house. Sadly I couldn't go farther because it's already night.

Here is what Boku wrote in his diary before going to sleep. His mother is having another baby, he is now living with his uncle and wonder if there are a lot of fun things there.

The game really begins on the second day, as the first one is just meeting everyone, eating and receiving a gift.
