Turn based tactical combat with D&D characters.

Enemies keep hiding/sneaking and cant see them until you get to close.

Most items are +1 or +2 , but there are a few really magical ones.

Freaking flying units, also guard towers, summoning portals and water enemies make for really annoying situations.

Well, time to clean this map up. This one took me 2-3 hours.

Experience is the most valuable resource. Enemies are lvl 5-6 and i still have lvl 2's around, also i never have money for all the equipment/spells/abilities.
I hired to many characters, 10-15 would be enough.

The gameplay is just explore the map, do the main tasks and reload ALOT, also spend 20-30 min dealing with the inventory between missions, it has some bugs, but its a very fun game.

It's kinda funny this map doesn't even have a Plasma Rifle, only the BFG.

I still recall finding this unmarked quest in some little corner called 'Aerotech Buildings' and if you ask me now, I still cannot recall where it is in FNV. It's somewhere... near Sharecropper Farm I think. It basically shows NCR officer taking matters into his own hand. He first asks you to find out if this guy, Keith is cheating at cards (speech check) or a drug dealer (barter). Either one works. You can also Pickpocket him for his marked cards (Sneak). Then when apprehending the suspect, Keith makes a remark about the Captain's wife and the NCR captain just shot him in cold blood. It's supposed to be a very serious scene ruined by the havoc physics.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Technomancer

Another productions from Spiders, which is set in the same universe as their previous title Mars: War Logs. This time we don't have to visit the same locations with respawning enemies as much as before. Still, as usual I could feel the budget constraints when it comes to quest numbers and locations sizes. The voice actors aren't best as well, and the animation is really wonky. When you try to make action RPG it really shows right in the tutorial. What I did like, were the different styles of combat, that we could invest in. Technomancy is for those interested in sci-fi mages, Warrior is a standard combat style of Technomancers. After that we have Guardian for using shield to our advantage for defense and offense as well. Rogue is the last style, where we can dodge attacks easily, use poison and gun to finish off enemies. From my experience Technomancy is really powerful, and makes encounters really easy. Combined with the mix of Warrior/Rogue I didn't have big problems, except some attack patterns during boss fights.

The game is junky, but has it's own charm and I really dig the setting and lore regarding the Technomancers. I just wish they could have more money to sink into a single production, to polish the gameplay and add more quests with better VA as well.

Another NCR quest to deal with Freeside involves the diplomatic option (you do chores for the King) or kill Pacer.

YBDq7o0.jpg

I'm going for the 2nd option - killing. But my creative solution to wear Legion disguise did not work. So you have to follow directions a bit. An informant will tell you a few options. You can spike Pacer's drugs to give him a heart attack. Or exploit his feud with the Van Graaf. Framing the Van Graafs can involve forging a letter, inciting Pacer to attack the Silver Rush, dying in the process or another direct method is to kill him with an Energy weapon. Which is kinda retarded IMO. But there's a lesser-used method for it...

When working as the door guard for the Van Graaf, there's an option to deal with Pacer's aggressiveness. You can back down or get him to fight.

Killing him will not trigger hostility with the Kings and accomplishes that objective.

You're alone, Pacer. Your imaginary friends won't help you now.

Obsidian really spent a lot of time to create alternate ways to solve quests. A shame that most players can just bypass everything with Speech checks.
There's even an option to bring in the NCR military with Colonel Moore from the Dam. It'll end in a bloodbath. But you get to see the impersonators get slaughtered by DT10 suited troopers on the streets.
