How to know a true sim racing alien ? His main mojo is sim racing and he treats F1 as side hustle XD And his is the multiple times champion...

3 time world champion. The dude is so into it in the previous quali he raced with his mates overnight in the sim and came sleep deprived into f1.

That's nothing. He won championship and very same night few hours after dude was racing in sim with people.

iRacing is still the king of simulators and it was originally released in 2008.

Asseto is king of sims. iRacing is king of virtual racing with great simulation underhood.

Yeah Iracing just comes closest in physics. All racetracks are modelled closely after their real life counterparts with laserscanning.

Its just a shame iracing is so expensive. Right now i use Automobilista2 as it is the best for VR simracing.

Might resubscribe into Iracing when i have more time to play.

These days i play old sims. Grand Prix 4 and Race07 mainly.
Race07 i still think is the best when it comes to touring car racing. The feel, the tracks, its awesome.
And Grand Prix 4 has the best AI its really fun to drive against it.

Curratum I've been playing the Shutoko Revival Project on AC, it's pretty amazing. One of my favourite racing games was Genki's Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2 on the Dreamcast and this is like a super version of that. The modding spergs for this game are completely insane, they've even come up with an AI traffic script that works online. This is the game that keeps on giving. I paid fucking 3 dollars for the full thing with all DLC and it's gonna last forever.

Anyway, I'm really digging the T300, but there is one particular issue that's kind of bugging me. If you turn your wheel very slowly on the desktop, can you feel the notches in the belt? I'm not sure if this is an issue with brand new belt-driven wheels or what, but I can definitely feel some notchiness, it's difficult to describe because it's not clunky like the G29, but it's not completely smooth, you can feel the tiny teeth on the belt. It's not really an issue when you're driving, but it's one of those things that are in the back of your mind and if you pay attention you can notice it.

Not a dealbreaker of course, but I didn't see this mentioned in any review of the wheel that I could find, and I saw a lot of them. Maybe the teeth smooth out a bit with use? How does yours feel?

Another thing is that the sleeve around the wheel seems to loosen up after a few hours of use. I may not be tightening the screw enough...

:salute:

I was trying PS2 genki racing games and searched for mentions in the codex. The are very interesting and unique games.

A lot of good info in this interview, the best being that they're using a brand new engine developed from scratch.

They gave up on Unreal because they want to support the game for a long time and Unreal doesn't provide the level of control they want over the game.

I remember having a good time with Driveclub on launch, and was sorta taken aback when Sony completely abandoned the game and it's developer. It's visuals have held up remarkably well, too.

I remember I didn't try it because it was 30 FPS. But had stunning visuals

Absolutely hooked to Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2 (Kaido Battle 3) in PCSX2.

- Night clandestine races, time attacks and drift competitions in fantastic real japanese mountain roads.
- Great tuning, upgrades and customization. Fun progression.
- Prestigious and good amount of cars (currently using Honda CRX9 and Toyota Levin AE86)
- Good simcade physics (best at that time) with noticeable weight transfer and differences between cars, powertrain layouts and tuning setups (grip and drift setups both viable for racing).
- Great art direction, music, atmosphere and attention to detail. Games exudes love by the devs

Absolute gem.

Nice synchrony. Saw it yesterday after I had just installed https://rallysimfans.hu/ version that evening.

I don´t have wheel, but after a bit of tweaking seems to work fine with controller. No vibration is a shame though.

First impressions is that it´s very unforgiving but car is easier to control in gravel than Dirt Rally 1 with a FWD car. It´s curious that the most serious simulator is not as hard to control as a less serious one. Probably a case of trying too hard to make things harder than they should be, when reality is not as much.
