What was up with the writing during the non-combat corporate espionage mission? It was like they turned over the keyboard to the blind idiot god at the center of the universe.

The janitor bit in Telestrian? Yeah that part looks like it was added in the last minute. Here you have the paranoid VP of security, he leaves the suspicious new janitor guy alone in his office while he goes take a coffee.

They probably had something more involved in mind to get the Aegis (notice how Samedi completely disappears from the game after that run, and when you meet ML in the mansion you have dialog options to tell her he died) but ran out of time.

And you figure out he's some guy named Hakeem who's in a wheelchair, but it all seems completely irrelevant.

It took me a second to figure that out. All of a sudden we're talking about some guy in a wheelchair that she loves, the next it's the Baron, then it clicked. Oh right, same guy. Who cares?

Here's my character's final stat sheet

Pretty much single handedly killed Jessica in 3 rounds with triple fire rifle bursts

Investing in Close Combat was an absolute waste. Strength was useful for some skill checks.

Looking at all the character sheets I am thinking this game really could use more skills
And spells
You know, it could just use MORE

Even in not so universally appraised Fallout Tactics any character at least invested in other types of weapons to kill robots, or throwing, or in repair/doctor/driver

Speaking of whom: does saving / not saving Gino (Coyote's Crusade mission) have any impact later on? Since after that mission...
It's brought up again briefly during the epilogue fwiw.

That's pretty much the extent of C&C in this game: couple lines of flavor text, some extra credits now and then.

Final confrontation with Sam made me smile though so it's all good.

Decent game for the money I spent on it (hehe) but very forgettable.

I put some point into body towards the end to avoid one-shot deaths. Used pistols only for the first few missions, later resorted to just casting haste and slow every turn. All the charisma and etiquettes were pretty much worthless, but the spirit summons made up for it since they added some extra challenge and tactical depth to the otherwise boring combat what with them breaking or bugging out at the most inconvenient moments. I imagine a pure combat focused char would have been utterly boring.

I'm at the Graveyard. How much more do I have of the campaign? I'm starting to lose interest, and playing on very hard is starting to show its imbalance. Enemy NPCs never miss grenades, friendly NPCs can't hit grenades, etc (even with high %). Also, the game is just too shallow to keep my interest over time. It's Progress Quest with a storyline.

o_O what?

Very hard was rofl easy. I hit a lot of grenades when the chance was 50% or so. One of my NPCs got a rofl crit with 20% chance to hit with a pistol too.

edit: You're about half-way ?

There are some bug tracking files in the Shadowrun Returns folder

output_log.txt and a folder called DumpBox which contains all of your run information

This is the possible cause of the micro-stutter

(Filename: Line: 1385)

HandleD3DDeviceLost
HandleD3DDeviceLost: still lost
Skipped rendering frame because GfxDevice is in invalid state (device lost)

And there are a lot of errors and warnings

TRIG [WARN] StartCountingBattle event: On New Round missing arguments!
TRIG [WARN] StartCountingBattle event: On New Round missing arguments!
WRLD [WARN] CheckCombatState: Active Camera Region is nonexistent

Nevertheless, very good idea to include stuff like this. Just emailed mine to HBS.

Who's the archaic programmer who uses capitals for the start of variables *shakes head*

Or when you give some donuts and coffee to the police to let you take stuff from a crime scene. I was like "Really?".

Just finished the game, took me 14 hours on hard.

Even though there are some negative points, I really like the game. Basically, I just had a lot of fun playing the game. The environments are great, the characters (with great portraits too) are interesting and likeable, I found the story very enjoyable (even though there were some unconvincing/unbelievable twists and turns) and last but not least I found the shadowrun universe really interesting. Had no knowledge of shadowrun before and I really like some of the concepts and characters.

Also, thought the combat was easy but enjoyable.

Convention for .NET languages is also to use pascal case for methods (and events) as well as for all public members.

I've read somewhere that he was supposed to be captured and the Telestrian girl would run back to UB because reasons.

Haha Overwatch that was another thing I never figured out how to use. But then again the game was so easy I wasn't exactly looking for it.

Coyote is either a) happy and says her crusade is over (saved Gino) or b) she's angry and promises to hunt down all BTL evar (Gino died).
Or is it just another biowarian C&C?

How do you save Gino?

You're about halfway through the game. Very Hard is Very Easy. If you're struggling now, you'll never make it through the game. Writing is about to take a nose dive and combat difficulty is going to go up.

You're dying in the graveyard Zed? My somewhat gimped build is basically stomping on auto pilot and I'm not being very careful in fights. I've had two enemies miss grenades, and according to people digging in the editor, Very Hard = Enemies fight by the same rules you do.

This game is too easy, also on Very Hard, and I'm not tactical wizkid. The AoE Armitage has for the graveyard fight bombs the enemy.

I did, by accident, during the Telestrian run.
