Damn, now I will have to reduce the schadenfreude forecast for the next fiscal quarter and look for other sources of butthurt revenue. Fortunately this is the Codex.

Does this faggot inspire confidence in you?

He also probably looks at Skyrim and imagines of integrating social networks into it sans the modding.

Kickstarter is as much of a promotional tool as it is a fundraising tool these days. You get a ridiculous amount of news coverage if you're a well-known enough developer with a non-shitty game pitch.

But yeah, I have 0% faith in this at all. He has no intention of going back to his classic game style, and even if he did it would be awful. The less constrained the Ultima games got, the worse they got.

UPDATE - Kickstarter confirmed: http://ultimacodex.com/2013/03/lord-british-presents-a-countdown/

Courtesy of T.D. from Horizons Tavern, let me present this intriguing image:

This was apparently taken from the content tree of some sort of cloud hosting service, the link to which was found in the source for the Lord British Presents website. The link now leads to a 403 Forbidden error, but T.D. was able to nab the above before that setting was enabled.

Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues? Oh, this is going to be good. Also, it would seem that my guess, below, was correct: this game will be on Kickstarter.

Isn't he going to run into legal troubles using the name avatar in a such a blatant way after selling his IP to EA?
