Whys it always gotta be Heroes and not just M&M standard that everyone wants to remake? I'd kill for a good scifi M&M clone.

First of all M&M is sci fi already. Kreegans (inferno) are space aliens theres multidimensional shit and high tech.

And obviously its way less popular hence no one wants to capitalize on it.

Yeah another Sci fantasy blobber would be great that's what I'm getting at. Just because it's less popular doesn't mean it's worse. Industry so redundant and risk averse.

Also it's a completely different setting. Homm is generic fantasy trash from after the IP buyout and M&M is awesome, with secret scifi dungeons and habitat planes floating in space and so on. People DO like their generic genre trash though.

Looks like they've released a new demo on steam that contains multi layers/worlds (eg there's a cool space orbital layer) and they've done a new dev diary about special buildable sites around the map that you can build a choice of different outpost buildings on (eg radar, turrets & resource mines).

They've done a new trailer for early access release..

Looks like they've done some more dev diaries too..

This one's on day and night cycles that appear to change the city screen too which is cool. Some of those alien planets look really nice under darkness with lots of glowing plants and things.

Does the game have a human faction?
It does as I keep seeing human military space faction units usually on a fertile grassland like world in screenshots but I don't think they've done a faction & story breakdown on them yet.. strange that they chose to push the beginning of the games promotion, marketing and testing with moles and insect races.. maybe the human faction isn't finished yet.

I can't find the better shots I've seen over the last year but this recent thumbnail appears to give a glympse of their world, their building aesthetic, and one of their units..

Oh and this battle screenshot shows some human solders and robots that don't seem to belong to any other factions seen so far..
