Enjoy your germans and frenchies speaking in their language all the time. Still, they play better then people from EUNE. At least most of the time...

48 mins and noone broke 200 creepscore? Whoa... Dem towers must be farmed as fuck.

As an aside, I really like the new post-game screen and the ingame kill+assist announcements.
Don't think I've ever gotten above 200 creepscore. That is why I am shit at the game I suppose. Killing minions seems to pretty much stop sometime after 20 or 25 minutes and instead its just all team combat all the time.

Poles invaded US servers. I was carrying a game with mundo (21/3/22 or something like that) and had a friend and some random warwick kicking ass with me.. 2 poles standing around saying kurwa a lot and doing absolutely nothing but:

1) One would keep getting blue and end up passing it n to enemy
2) Only time they would leave base was when minions were destroying our shit.

ended up losing :-/

Btw why is mundo considered crap? So far i have my best record with him xD

You are somebody i would prob yell at a lot then :P
If there is one thing that enrages me it isnt dying a lot but ignoring creeps after the laning phase.. every body tries to get kills kills kills and meanwhile the minions are destroying your towers.. i end up pingspamming but seriously its the only way to get people to kill a wave in solo... :-/
Usually people will kill a SINGLE wave.. the one thats attacking the turret.. then go and try to kill a champ. Like that does anything lol.

Dont ignore minions! Its gives u a shitload of cash and can win you the game.. in fact often i try to get my team to just keep the lanes free which can be a huge deal.

Im not a great player with a good record by any means and i screw up a lot but im pretty sure im right about minions being important. I just still am not very good at actual combat (compared to other level 30's anyways.. im def getting better)

Yeah, I don't ignore minions, I just have a hard time timing my killing blows, especially early game when the marginals are so small. mid/Lategame when I can solo waves I always go for the masses of minions if there is time.

yeah that just takes practice. resist the urge to auto attack. let your minions do the work then just last hit. you usually shouldnt be pushing your lane anyways

You know, I've bene playing a LOT since I switched to EUW. I've had 1 game where someone spoke german and maybe 2 games where someone spoke french. It's way less than the decline potato moonspeak spam in EUNE.

One thing I would reccomend for anyone in here is to pair up with a friend (or a bot), start a custom game. Both of you go to the same lane and just practice lasthitting a bunch to get a feel in for your champions damage and timings. Bonus points if you can keep the creepwave just barely out of tower range.

I generally hit 150 creeps by the 20 minute mark, 200 creeps by 30 mins and 300 creeps by 45 mins. Slightly more if I'm playing morgana and/or I've been AFK farming top lane for ages. Don't neglect creeping. 2 creepwaves worth of minions will give you roughly the same gold and XP as a champion kill.

When it comes to farming im focusing on it alot till 20 min mark then i let most of it go to carrys. In a decent game with a few good grabs i managed to farm up Triforce and Mercs in 16 minutes with Blitz. Usually end up about 12-14k gold in a regular game.
Look around if someone is afk farming and push hard weakest lane, usually people are concerned about their next item, you can rush 2 towers sometimes while their strongest player is still waiting for the next creep wave. Or just gank the fucker if you are warded.

Since Cockxor never played HoMM 3 against me, we'll have to get down and dirty in this game.

PM me if you want my name.

(Three days, and no PMs later)

I still hate you all.

Guess which codexian managed to grind himself to a solo-queue ladder position?
Me:

Also, since Grunker is notoriously bad at explaining things, Amumu is the preferred pure tank for two reasons (IMO):
  • He can jungle and therefore doesn't take up a lane
People at most Elo's are notoriously dumb about actually counter-jungling weak junglers
Galio is a super valid counter-pick and the rest of them are too weak in the tank role or doesn't fit the current meta (Leona).

I also don't like the idea of 5v5 as the way LoL is meant to be played since 5v5 is usually not played a lot. I especially dislike the idea that your 5v5 (or 3v3) Elo means anything about you personal skills in the game, and solo queue is still the only way to reliably measure whether what you know in theory is useful in practice.

Anyhow, I'm happy about being ranked since it means that I can stop tryharding and play for the experience that I badly need with certain champions.

I actually have the beginning s of a decent 3v3 now i think.. ive gotten loads better in just the past weak for some reason. Often carrying my games (although i do still have some games i just fail at).
One friend is level 27 and decent. Prob better then me in a lot of ways. He can play a mean nasus or jungling fiddle.
And the star is actually a friend in germany whos only level 10 and when playing with us (against level 20-28's usually) always has a great score (he went like 9/0 last night which made me laugh)

Not that we will ever be SO-PRO! but we will prob be able to hold our own in 3v3

lol, Pony King, you basically said exactly what I did. Except for the stuff about 5v5 Arranged which I really, really don't get. How is Solo Queue a better way to determine if you've improved? When we lose in Arranged Ranked we can put it down to stuff, discuss who made what mistakes when. Look at the replay, go over our flaws as a team.

The last 5 games I played in solo queue:

I lost two because of someone disconnecting five minutes into the game.

I won one because three people from the opposing team fed me hardcore with Brand (I felt so bad for the opposing team's Malz who outplayed me in lane).

I won one because the opposing team had their Gragas go AFK 30 minutes into the game (they were winning).

And I lost one because two players on my team fed the opposition (I'm pretty sure one of them was doing it on purpose).

This is not fun and it is not a good test of skill. I've played around 50 solo queue games, and maybe 2 of them in total have not been determined by pure luck - that is, no disconnects on either team, no AFKing, no insane amounts of feeding.

So what's the "pro" opinion on Corki? Tried him out today and he seems pretty cool.

If Ashe is the best AD carry because her late-game is so useful [...] then the same can be said of Corki putting the argument in reverse, because his early game is just so strong. [...] I mean, an AD Carry that can reasonably solo lane?

Corki is da bomb. We use him a lot! :)

Hefty early game, better than most carries at the one on one thing, has an escape.
