You should be ashamed, playing all together while I'm MIA :(

Anyway, I'm up for anything on EUW, nick's Berekän (as expected), if you add me give me a warning because I mostly ignore friend petitions.

I sincerely doubt they're going to "ban" him (I think the word you're looking for is "nerf"), the high ELO reaction to him is still "meh..." and right now Riot seems to pay most mind to what happens at the top.

You're right about CV though.

Yeah man, banned/picked in the majority of games at 2k+ is certainly "meh'. (At least on the 8 or so streamed games I've watched since he picked up after that buff. Also, that's American servers.)

Regardless, I doubt they'll nerf him.

I stand corrected!

I only watch European streams and I went into TSM's streams and watched a couple. They sure like their Garen there.

EDIT: Even Shushei is talking about him making his way into top tier... I wonder whether that will last.

Played Garen a few games. Really like him. Gonna add him to the List of Champions I want to get at some point.

I see a lot of garens in 1400-1500 elo games. He's a very strong counter to many popular top lane picks. If someone's dumb enough to pick irelia before the other team has picked a top lane Garen hard-counters her something fierce.

To be fair, Americans tend to rush to FotM very quickly, lol

Started dual-queing in solo ranked.

My life improved by 50%.

Then we pushed through to the enemy's nexus and our Ashe quit for no reason. Then we lost. Then I cried like a baby. An angry, hungry, baby.

Ye. Ranked has two modes:

Solo: You alone or You + a buddie. Random warding, hard to facilitate team-play. Plays a lot like normal games.

Arranged: You and four mates. Very few deaths, tight team-play. The way League is meant to played in my opinion. Hard to set up though cause you need five mates that know each others playstyles pretty well and are all capable players who know the core gameplay and viable options pretty well. My team is currently ranked 1300-1400 for example, and that's with tight communication, correct warding and so on. So it's much more difficult than other modes.

It's not that hard to find some playmates. I duo'd normals with IRL friend and friend requested all players who seemed to be good. Three of them happened to be glorious potatolanders as we are, so we hooked up on Skype and started playing together. Now we wait for season 2 to start playing some ranked 5s and continue to play together in shitloads normal games. And yeah, it's so much better than playing with pubbies.

Btw bros, during one game when I played Shen, some bubba during champion selection was like 'OMG Shen, he sux. He used to be gud pre-nerf but now he sux'.

Out of sheer curiosity - what was that supahnerf?

They mainly hit his sustain and damage. He was one of the best solo-laners before, because he had a strong starting lane (heavy damage) and a good mid lane (heavy sustain).

Pure-tanks are not used at all anymore short of Amumu. Champions have to do something in a fight - not even hardcore CC is enough (Rammus is barely used at high ELOs in spite of a great taunt - also Galio). Amumu deals good damage and has a game-breaking ult.

So yeah. Shen got hit pretty hard.

BUT, he's still good at everything below 2000 I'd wager.

I see. I tried to google 'shen nerf' and all I got was something that got the vorpal blade damage and feint protection by like -10 or so? Is that it? Because I thought it wasn't much of a big deal. But apparently the same nerf also added another minute of cooldown for the ultimate, so I guess that was not fun, but not exactly related to solo laning.

Galio was used twice at IEM. I know for sure the second time he helped his team win big time, don't remember the first match.

(Not sure if Grunker is saying that Galio is or isn't used at high elo)

Oh he is - I can see why that was unclear. He's used sporadically (mostly to counter team setups).

My god, the trolls. My ELO's been yoyoing so hard this last week.

Started out at 1515 when they announced I needed 5 more ELO for gold + shiny skin. I instantly got in a spree of trolsl and leavers, so my ELO hit 1180. Worked my way up to 1450 before the trolls hit again and dragged me down to 1320. I painstakingly worked my way up to 1412, then got dragged down to 1183. Now I've clawed my way back up to 1413. If I can get 10 games without anyone leaving I should be fine. My last 10 games had 9 wins, all o which I carried hard with morg. I'm pretty confident I can make it to 1520 if noone trolls me.

Sweet mother of double jeopardy backstroking in butterscotch, that was an absolutely crazy game.

Actually, if our Ashe wasn't so awful, and if Fiddlesticks wasn't so fed, we might have won this 'cause dispite the K/D ratio, the match was pretty even.

48 mins and noone broke 200 creepscore? Whoa... Dem towers must be farmed as fuck.

As an aside, I really like the new post-game screen and the ingame kill+assist announcements.

Roxor and most of the other guys at EU East are still level 15. That explains the lack of CS.

I usually have the highest CS even when I'm jungling :P
