Is Graves a viable adc this patch?

Won 16 out of my first 22 ranked games. Jumped from silver 3, to silver 1, thought I'd get to skip my series to go up to gold, but apparently you have to win more than 70% of your games to do that (lolwut?). So I lose my first 2 on the series because I get put into last pick twice and, as usual, my jungler is an embarassment while I'm relegated to top or support, where I'm nothing more than adequate.
Manage to pick jungler on the next two games, carry them as sejuani, business as usual. On my last game I get first pick, so I'm feeling pretty confident, and then this happens: http://matchhistory.br.leagueoflegends.com/pt/#match-details/BR1/320982825/203649903
Our support picks ryze and simply runs up to the enemy bot laners repeatedly dying. Over and over again, 15 times in 20 minutes, never saying a word. Our shyvana dies twice to jungler ganks and goes afk, supposedly because of ryze but I'm pretty sure it's because he got shit on in lane.
Seriously why are these people still allowed to play the game?
Now, for no reason, I have to win in order to get the next series, and then win 3 more times to complete it, while I have more than proved I'm playing at gold level or better. And in my now 27 games I have gotten afk'ers 3 times and two trolls, and not a single one of either on the enemy teams. Complete. Fucking. Bullshit. Hate this game so much sometimes.

So I spent the day playing and got to Gold 3, with the pleasant surprise of not having to got through a series from gold 5 to 3 =D
Sejuani just too damn OP at whatever elo I'm at (guessing high gold, low plat), 24 games / 19 victories, and out of the 5 losses 2 were teammates going afk or trolling and another 2 was just me being unable to close out the game and the other team outscaling us, despite having a lead through most of it.
So I spent the day playing and got to Gold 3, with the pleasant surprise of not having to got through a series from gold 5 to 3 =D

So then tell me what happened the one match where you just outright lost? Haha, I kid.
Does anyone feel like the recent changes have somehow made ADC carry harder? Bloodthrister got nerfed hard, yes, but it really seems like now one ADC carries head and shoulders above the other, maybe since there's less sustain in the bottom lane initially lanes are being won harder, I don't know. Even in LCS play I notice some stronger play, maybe also due to end-game carries being popular.
I ask because I'm thinking of switching to an outright support main, my Karma play is finally on the level my Morgana play is and both of those champs allow me to win lane very hard. Plus Karma is an absolute blast to play, an extremely harass orientated support and I love that. I can't play the game as much nowadays but it doesn't seem to matter as support. 3 beers into the night and I went 0/2/21 my last match with the enemy ADC bitching about me using a bot (which is funny because I know when my harass is on point and it definitely wasn't that match) and my ADC describing me as a support god. Feels good man. If it's easier to control a game as support nowadays I'm all for it. I'm actually trying to play as support if my coworkers form a team of the best of us, because I do well with them despite...them.

The recent itemization changes were specifically targeted towards making ADCs scale (and consequently carry) even harder into late game, so yeah, it's not just your imagination. Most ADCs aren't even building bloodthirster anymore, which is somewhat of a nerf to the ones who "depend" on it, like Graves and Draven.
You can definitely "carry" a game as a support, but right now what I feel is making the difference (regardless of position played, at least for me) is vision control and shot calling. If you look at my match history you'll see I rarely ever miss a dragon or a baron on my games, because I'm always taking any opportunity to take either, besides controling vision at key points through sweeps and pink wards, besides the one I get from ancient golem. One thing I learned from watching LCS is always have a pink ward on the map, I'm buying one right on my first back nowadays and always replacing it when it gets taken out.
Enemy jungler just died or was spotted top? Take dragon. Enemy bot lane or jungler just backed? Take dragon. Enemy ADC is cleaning up bot lane at late game? Take Baron. Just took an inhibitor? Why not take dragon on the way back. Just won a teamfight and there are 3 members from the enemy team still alive, but your whole team is up and somewhat healthy? Take baron instead of trying to siege, you can siege with baron buff and an item lead later. One thing to remember on risky baron or dragon calls is to stop doing it when the enemy jungler comes near and zone him out or kill immediately - outsmitting can and will happen regardless of skill level.
And also sometimes Baron or Dragon are worth taking over a tower or even inhibitor (specially Baron, because of the buff) since they're renewable and can be taken by either team - if your team has lost 3 towers early game but you have a two dragon lead you'll eventually have a global gold lead because the enemy towers will eventually go down (specially outer ones), so after killing enemy bot lane it's often more worth it to take dragon then their tower if you can't do both, since otherwise you risk the enemy team taking it.

That's precisely why I mained jungle before, when Kha was strong i would pick him or Vi and especially on blue side sneak early dragons. Worked easy in bronze. At low silver players priotize dragon inconsistently. I had a geam that was winning that gave up a dragon to farm wolves. People ddon't realize what can happen in 10 seconds man.
I find that people are more likely to listen to a support thats shotcalling so im gonna hang out in bottom lane. Gonna try to add a non mage support

You should try Braum, he's still on the OP side and at your elo he'll pratically never get banned and usually supports are last pick so you'll be able to secure it often.

The number one rule of league should be that cowards die in shame. It should be in the tutorial - it should show "look, Leona engages on Ahri but Gargas shits his pants and jumps to baron pit, that's whatever is opposite of teamwork".
