10 times better salary than what I earned at home (literally, not a hyperbole), plus better (free) healthcare and a safe stress-free environment. And not a vatnik in sight.

That's a bit offtopic but what countries and what professions are you comparing here exactly?

Why would an eastern european move into a northern european country, where the it is more expensive to get drunk than rent a flat?

So it is more of a rehab thing?

I wrote above that it was Denmark that I moved to, and the term "vatnik" should give you a clue about where from. I work in academia.

Russia is not Eastern Europe, comrade, Russia is Russia!

Otherwise I share your pain.

Strap Yourselves In
Welp, lvl 3 and still enjoying the heck out of it. The party "character" aspect really stands out even more, and is quite engaging now. For how long it'll remain so is another question, but at least for the moment, I'm pretty well immersed in the story, more because of how it's presented. It's not got much range and depth, but what there is of it is quite immersively presented in the cutscenes and confabs.

Little annoyances: you're not able to do that thing where you can R-Press and change the orientation of your formation, your characters' orientation is fixed relative to whatever direction your new ground selection is in, relative to where you are. I'd also like to be able to shut off ALL the camera automatisms and have a totally static camera that only I control.

Enjoying the maps more too. They're a bit hit and miss but the good ones are very good. I've just done the magic library room, which is actually one of the better environmental puzzles. Not too easy, not too hard, a nice workout with the verticality concepts.

The only thing that annoys me about the verticality a little bit is how it sometimes pushes the environmental design to be a bit staged and unrealistic (a bit like XCOM/2, or like an ARPG). But eh, I can live with it for the sake of the gameplay.

Okay, most important question of the thread so far that I haven't seen asked or answered; does Solasta allow you to use gamer words when naming characters?

I haven't really seen how it works yet, but I like the concept of partnering with the guild to scavenge dungeons after you clear them. It's logical and it should tame autism about not having unlimited carrying capacity so you can't loot and sell every Xaurip Spear you run across.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Given how D:OS2 still got this initiative system in place despite months of Early Access, I don't get the hype for BG3: EA. At least, there is a remote chance that the developers of Solasta can listen to feedback, and not blame grognards for not understanding their genius game design.

I tried it, but the tutorial is unskippable pure torture(do trivial things you have already done in 3204 previous turn based RPG, with one character at a time).
The system seems solid, though, and it has full party creation with either point buy or dice rolls.
