What's probably not returning is the exact tone of humor that players might remember from Saints Row 3 and 4. I remember laughing often at Saints Row The Third when I played it 10 years(!) ago, but it took some googling to remember just how embarrassingly edgy its writing was. Between memorable setpieces and lovable characters were moments of casual sexism and homophobia within its main cast and beyond—the sort of stuff that I breezed by in all media when I was a dumb 15-year-old.

It gets worse: I've just found out the little gameplay (most of which is actually in-game cutscenes) they showed is labeled "pre-alpha" at the start in barely visible text. Having only "pre-alpha" footage to show six months from release is just insanity. This game is either getting delayed for a massive "rework", or will be an absolute legend of a garbage fire for years to come.

Former Volition employee Ryan McCabe confirmed on ResetEra that Mike Watson, aka IdolNinja, passed away today. Watson was the senior community developer at Volition who was leading the Saints Row 2 patch project at the studio.

It's sad that such a great guy part of the Saints Row series passed away from cancer.

Man, I remember Watch Dogs, on Watch Dogs 1 you had a generic story that was boring as fuck with shit characters so people complained about it, the Ubisoft answer was the most strange retardation ever "We listened you fellow kids, we are going to fix the boredom with this strange retarded nonstop carnival take we have of the average zoomer life, look, we are so cool! We are so relatable , we know what you all modern kids do.Look to our dance moves!"

Most people were, eh... "Ubisoft we just wanted you to make a good game not dance like a clown in front of us."

The situation got so bad that on Watch Dogs Legion they are doing marketing campaigns about the DLC involving the protagonist of Watch Dogs 1 returning because while being a generic boring vigilante, he is the only character that remotely looks like an adult on the cast of characters they created so far.

Those characters just look fucking dumb. They seem like extreme parody versions of characters from Watch Dogs 2, but even the Watch Dogs 2 characters look tougher than these guys and they were designed to be a group of hipster nerd hackers. That said my soul died a little more when the reboot trailer dropped. I knew I was going to be disappointed by whatever Volition put out considering SR3 and 4 were both disappointing compared to SR2 but I wasn't prepared for the depths of decline to which they've stooped. I can only hope the actual game plays like the Christ came down to Earth and designed it himself because that's the only way this shitshow is going to be redeemed...but we all know that ain't gonna happen. You know something's wrong when someone's more excited for the patched version of a game you put out like 12 years ago that your company only assigned two guys to work on (RIP Idolninja) than they are for your new reboot.
