Do they have a big forum? I wouldn't mind trolling them a bit. I am keen to know if this game requires dosbox or Windows 2k compatibility mode?

A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
You mean to tell me all that hype about celebrity actors being in the game and the fucking son of a bitch goes full Todd Howard and just kills them at the start of the game.
Also... the intro gameplay is a turret section. After starfield and No mans sky and Elite I just don't see how anyone has the hype for shit like this anymore, I doubt the market will react positively to whats on offer here, also can't wait to see the requirements on this, *makes game* *no one can run it*.
What market does from here onwards is absolutely inconsequential. It's sad, but that's how it is. Yea yea, it's technically different from SC, but it's Chris vacuuming the money in any case. Also the original pledge campaign was for both, I should know, bought in 2012 when they had collected 2M total.

Nah. Just say you smoked crack for 10 years and spent 2 years cleaning up with the support of family and friends and you're feeling much better now.

They could look up your record and find out you're lying if you go your route.

Also, if you want some toilet reading material, have fun:

SQ42 release date - 2025Q4 - Reason: Ton of CIG staff moving back to work on SC most of what they are doing is back porting SQ42 stuff like ui etc. into SC. Mealstorm which is pretty much last requirement was shown to work in last citizencon.

So they made some bland and generic scifi movie with, dont get too excited now, turret sections....
Boggles the mind how these people still have jobs.

He is the gaming equivalent of a televangelist. Selling people promises and not delivering anything. Yet getting rich because there are a lot of gullible/desperate people.

Also the original pledge campaign was for both, I should know, bought in 2012 when they had collected 2M total.

One of the few advantageous of being poor back in those days was that I had no money to give for Scamdron 42 and Scam Citizen. Saved me a ton of disappointment.

Weird thing about this whole situation, so many years since the damn thing was announced, whaled in a ton of money, yet nobody tried to competently tap into this market despite hard data how much people are willing to spend on it. Was there even one Wing Commander clone/spiritual successor made ever since Chris Roberts started going Bernie Sanders on space fighter nerds?

Actually Star Citizen doesn't tap that market either. A single player 90s throwback space sim doesn't make money. That's why Star Citizen became an MMO with MTX targeting whales very soon after the KS goal was reached.

Look I was interested in this back in the day because a Starlancer (wiki it) with modern graphics would be cool as fuck but it would be a "one and done" game.
The industry wants live service games that stay around for years.

There's a slight irony that Roberts funded Lord of War. Did the fucker not even watch his own movie lol.

I just checked, my original pledge was $35 and it included Aurora MR with 29000 UEC starting money, a shit ton of annual trinkets + Squadron 42.

Out of curiosity, I checked that a similar package would set me back now 51 eur for the ship and another 30 eur for the equal amount of UEC, and this is without Squadron 42 (which I think is unavailable at the moment?). Chris has sure kept up with inflation here.

Not that I'll likely ever get anything back in terms of games, but following the farce of development accompanied by these codex threads has been almost worth the money so far.

Great, so they are almost done, only the "gameplay polishing" phase is left and once this is complete, they will release the ga…oh wait, no, they‘ll transition into an "optimization and stability" phase afterwards. Yeah, right… ANY DAY NOW BOYS, ANY DAY NOW.
Here we are, a year later, and Squandered 404 still nowhere near completion

Just watched that cringe fest of a "gameplay" trailer. Holy fuck. How Gillian Anderson and Gary Oldman aren't suing them into oblivion by now is anyone's guess. And what retarded sci-fi universe still has human manned turrets these days, apart from obvious space fantasy like Star Wars? Not only that, but they actually have you play as a fucking turrent gunner for the entire opening battle  You couldn't make that shit up. 2026 boys, it's coming. Any day now!

Seriously Chris Roberts is a genius, I have nothing but respect for that fat fuck, living his best life while stringing suckers along for more than a decade now. Mind blowing.

CR got a mansion, college for his kids and an upper middle class California lifestyle out of this project.
All that just because of a bunch of stupid boomer gamers.

Hey if Roberts didn't take autists' money they would have gone and spent it on Train Sim World instead.
