I did never imagine a company could manage an MMO so badly. They do make Kim Kwang Soo seem like a business genius in comparison.

Next step is a jew planet where only PvP is allowed.

Nah, no pvp, but you can open trade windows with anyone and rob them blind.
Nah, it's a planet where the dudes just want to live their lives, but the whole planet is made responsible for the actions of a few assholes.
Of course I mean, a planet where nobody can wear a helmet because their noses are too large.

Are you really trying to be reasonable on the Codex? What is this, an EBayed account?

While Turbine provided plenty of updates, they made so many shitty decisions. I'd still say they handled it worse than EverQuest II. Considering they just shut it down without testing a freemium model.

Even if Bio goes down, the IP is too valuable to collect dust.
EA will just necro another studio and tell them to get another Dragon Effect installment out, continuity be damned.

Yep, like what happened with Command and Conquer.

Whether they'd continue Dragon Age is dependent on the third game's sales. The second sold far worse than the first.

Even though EQ2 is an inferior game compared to EQ1 it's hardly a "How Not To Design & Manage MMORPGs 101" that is The Old Republic. Then again I guess it was kinda obvious in hindsight when you see who worked on the game - company with no MMO experience and remnants of whatever remained after EA butchered Mythic after Warhammer Online failed to perform. Match made in heaven.

Not necessarily a terrible thing. C&C3 was actually quite good, so was its expansion pack and Red Alert 3. Really well supported post-release too, a rare thing to see from EA. Sure they ran out of ideas and C&C4 was complete crap, but I had no problem that they weren't Westwood.

Seeing the same thing happen to BioWare properties wouldn't be a terrible thing. Get some devs who are possibly more talented/organized and who know the genre and are familiar with the source material, and they might well make something better than BioWare ever did.

Problem is...they're running out of 'talented studios' they can acquire.
It's a gamble they'd rather not take.
The day Bioware isn't making a quasi-RPG shooter/action games is probably the day they can close down the studio, cause I don't believe they know how to do anything else.

Sure, but as far as mismanagement goes, it's much more impressive to drive a successful franchise into the ground than to botch something you just created.

What about the new DLC and the Gay Planet? How much butthurt these two have generated so far?

I haven't seen anyone in-game mentioning it. I'm not even sure if it's live yet. Maybe in update 2.0?
