Content wise if I am playing a class from zero until Onslaught how much hour of content do I have? Mind I probably will play story mode for the flashpoints because i am only here for Star Wars RPG.
Checked my lvl75 chars and they all clock between 4 and 5 days. They went through all the expansions, but not through many flashpoints. Flashpoints in story mode are usually about 30-60 mins depending on your char. AoE kings like sniper can do it much faster than a focus guardian (stop laughing) of course.
Could add another 8 hours if you want to do them all.

My sniper on the other hand, the only char left from the game's orginal release, sports a whooping 7 days... at lvl68. Should give you a hint what a pain in the ass leveling originally was.

And on that, how much content is in Onslaught anyway?
Standard type DLC, so it's 2-3 hours I guess. 2 planets plus a FP. Actually closer to 8 hours to my surprise.

For all that I did not even count dailies, since I never even went to Czerka, Dantooine and the other "content additions between DLCs".

I would have thought 2 planets would be huge. Back in the day, Rishi and Yavin 4 had loads of content.

You should check Czerka out anyway, it's a neat little self-contained story. But I might be biased from my days of playing the game on a toaster. It has a gtn terminal, you see, and much less traffic than the fleet

Have to correct myself. Checked my Sage, whom I had created with a leftover outlander boosht. So Ossus and Onslaught put an astounishing 8 hours on her playtime. Color me impressed. :salute:

My Sentinel has reached Taris now. I always liked Taris, the overgrown ruined city planet, the desolate athmosphere, the sad music, etc. Most players were prettry vocal about hating it, but that was mostly because a) you HAD to do every quest with every rep char and b) even the smallest fight took forever. But at the current pace you spend just enough time there to enjoy it.

Then I stumbled upon the "promised land" quest again. Sad.
Was even worse back when your memories of Kotor 1 were still fresh.
In Kotor 1 you help a bunch of outcasts to find their promised land, the original colony site, and give them a serum to make them immune against the rakghoul plague. Now 300 years later you follow their "log entries" documenting those centuries, starting with the realization that their kids will now grow up "with bows and arrows instead of blasters", continuing with "loosing too many people to rakghouls and wildlife", and the language getting simplier and simplier. Later, the serum has run out, so they hope the resistance to be "maybe inherited now", or they have to start killing their own kids when infected.
The final entry has the speaker wonder what a "city with many people" must have been like, since she is all alone. The toxic radiation, the reason that colony site was abandoned, made them all sterile long ago.
So sad.
:negative:
Revan deservered every hit with my glowstick for simply existing. And then some.

I think they at least got a chance instead of just dying under Malak guns, not Revan fault they did not turned onto awesome techno-barbarian tribe really, anyways just got my ship as Sith Warrior I think I will finish Bounty Hunter story line first now, need to remake his gear too my Juggernaut did solo all those heroics my other toons straggled with (Friends of Old), I read that Advanced Prototype Tech Specialist should be quite tanky too and he just sucks cause no invisibility my Operative has.

Maybe because I've last played the game years ago and my memory has been messing with me, but goddamn did they dumb down streamline everything during leveling process. Stats have basically been boiled down to Mastery, Endurance and Presence for companions + ratings that can presumably be safely ignored until you reach end game. Speaking of which companions are not even dumps for your old equipment anymore as they no longer benefit from its so everything out-leveled is immediately vendor trash.

It's absolute cruise control.

Mastery, power, crit, accuracy, and alacrity. The strength of each stat shifts depending on how much of the others you have.
I'm fine with mastery in the case of a star wars game TBH. Your 'primary' classes essentially being caster/melee hybrids(lorewise) makes it a unique situation. I don't think traditional RPG stats would represent force users properly IMO.

I agree completely on the companion gearing though. I hope they bring it back.

I hope they bring it back.
Heh, no you don't. Well, at least not the way it was originally. Back then money was tight, you could barely even equip yourself, let alone another slacker. So, you ended up using one with the same stats as you and gave him your hand-me-downs.
If you were to bring back having to outfit them now, there would be no challenge at all, since money grows on trees and falls of the sky now. So... what would be the point? Plus the companions (after KOTFE/KOTET) come with flashy cartel shop weapons, no need to even pimp them for looks.

Except color crystals. Seriously, nobody sells low level color crystals anymore, because "everyone has an artificer anyways"/"no profit in it". :decline:
Great move Bioware, changing the default color of all weapons to yellow for your "all classes become the outlander" merge. Heh, even the Twilek on the loading screen has actually yellow glow bits/beam on her weapon instead of red ingame, because the designer forgot to slot a red one.

So Protip: remove low level crystals from weapons before selling them.

Bioware never ceases to find ways showing filthy casuals both middle fingers:
Decided to wrap up Onslaught on my sage, which was just turning in a quest and do the flashpoint solo.
Turns out the quest rewards require artifact authorisation, despite being only of green quality. Well fuck you too, I never liked active artifacts anyway! :argh:

But the same is true for every green lvl75 GS 268 drop from the FP. And the tactical you get as a reward. To make the whole thing extra confusing, 'dexi wears mostly blue GS 270 stuff, which is BETTER than that, yet requires NO authorisation. Mkay?

Does that mean (endgame) blue stuff does not even drop for filthy casuals in FPs, so they didn't bother to restrict it?

just got darkside points for choosing to spy on the imperials as a member of the republic
literally what

Ignore the light/dark system unless you plan to RP a straight Sith/Jedi Comrade (and want dark/light side gear) and choose the option which your toon would choose, my bounty hunter for example booby trapped the grenades filthy terrorists in Balmora picked instead of coms cause those are looted by civis too and he is not terrorist/thug who (intentionaly) murder civis but professional bounty hunter, but ten minutes later took red option and killed slicer in factory cause he is again bounty hunter and he was told his Client want her dead period. Mako of course again made a fuss and even called him the thug like Taro Blood in which case told her this is low blow to compare us cause Blood would rape her to death and dump the body kill her ages ago and both she and my BH got payed for killing people and will either kill or be killed as Great Hunt rules state, its harsh Galaxy out there after all. Got sorry oh... as response and + of influence. :dealwithit: Wombyn!

In my Imperial Agent play-through light options are to kill some slaves quicker not for mercy but efficiency sake and such while when I played Trooper it was to give away army supplies to terrorists (Sorry those Empire backed so Freedom Fighters :salute:) sympathizers and literally let your fellow solider die. It shows how better Imperial Intelligence story is, cause here I really needed to think how to satisfy my asshole Sith Superiors and not be total dick to Imperial citizen while LS Trooper is some kind of confused cuck who would not survive a day on real battle field.

It shows how better Imperial Intelligence story is,
Do it the pro way: deactive displaying LS/DS in choices all together and just pick what you think is best. And ignore the alignment bar. Warrior is only one where that thing even counts as a choice with consequences.
And Inqui, if your name spoken by Darth Marr is important to you.

I gave up on staying true to a side years ago. Too many "Hulk smash, lol evil(tm)" choices on one side and retarded happy disneyland pipedreams on the other.

How could it not be?

I know, I know, you meant "the name Marr gives you", but you phrased it as if you suggested someone could be indifferent to Darth Marr speaking his name. And that does not compute!

Is Darth Marr also viable for Sith Warrior? Bounty hunter story is good too: no gods no masters just you, Maco and your trusty old blaster pistol, you pick your jobs yourself and decide how to finish them too total freedom after the first two planets.
