This thread is now about an autism therapy program that's actually feature-complete, much more than feature-complete really.
This is the fully-automated, and functional when completely AFK, antlion farm I built in Terraria.
Super dart traps and permanently de-actuated spiky ball traps do the killing. They're all wired to timers used by the other mechanisms that run this farm.
The chain of timer-regulated teleporters are collectively activated (or deactivated, if desired) by pulling a lever, which spawns a bird, which then flies over a series of pressure plates, each of which activates all the timers controlling the teleporter chain. The teleporter chain then carries the character from one end of the farm to the other repeatedly, allowing the character to collect loot, and ensuring vultures and antlions (which are immobile by default) spawn consistently and evenly.
I devised a 10-second timer combo which works by wiring two 3-second timers to one 5-second timer with different colors of wire; I use two of these 10-second timers to pulse the actuators on the two sand tiers off and then back on again for half a second every ten seconds. This makes the sand briefly unsolid, and allows loot to drop down into the collection chamber, which is lined with a very thin layer of lava in case any enemies happen to live through the traps and be dropped down also.
Lihzahrd Bricks are used to create a jungle biome in concert with the existing desert biome, increasing spawn rate (in theory anyway), and the whole works is lined with Water Candles, which definitely do increase spawn rate.
Produces ~30 Antlion Mandibles per hour completely AFK.
