Say what you want even if the game will be mediocre it will end to be amazing. Imagine all the cool mods they are going to do with it for years and years. Cannot wait.
Pleasure Planet will finally become reality. The coom levels will be off the charts.
You think of Pleasure Planet as Amsterdam meets Las Vegas in space.

I think of Pleasure Planet as in fucking the planet itself.

We are not the same.

Some takeaways from watching Camelworks video.

You can't loot the gear / items that are visible on the NPC's as is normally the case in Bethesda Game Studio games.

Creatures look procedural like NMS. Where there are set parts to the creatures, then they are randomly put together.

Dialogue with numerical conversation speech checks with colored difficulty bars. Also a turn counter, and a persuasion bar with limited uses.

I akshully agree with that decision. Stripping naked the people you murdered with the press of a button and then stuffing their armor into your magic backpack is maybe something I can stomach in fantasy but in semi-plausible looking SciFi? Not really.

What, you're gonna disassemble their fucking space suits so you can change into them on the fly by clicking on shit in your inventory screen? Sure, it's a game and not a simulator but there is so much retarded shit we just accept because we got used to it.

I would just not loot the gear if I felt similarly. You can set an arbitrary weight limit too if the game allows for to much carry weight for your enjoyment.

Or the game could be designed in a way that is immersive and not completely stupid in the context of its setting and all the "I want to do anything I want" sandbox maximalist tards can install their unlimited carry weight mods and add stupid amounts of loot to their inventories with console commands.

Also, the arch in the desert is a real landmark.
So how many post apocalyptic shows/games/books/comics/movies has the arch been in anyways, offhand I can only think of that Defiance scifi show a few years back.

I think there's a few frames that do show lootable equipment, but it's not consistent throughout the showcase. This is a Bethesda staple that everyone seems to appreciate so I gotta imagine there's a good reason for it:
1) Maybe the quickloot menu doesn't show lower tier equipment that don't have value to the player.
2) Maybe the density of NPCs means that it would completely break the game economy.
I doubt it has anything to do with "it's difficult to peel off a space suit." That'd be a weird aesthetic concession in a game where you can loot scrap from your cockpit.

I doubt it. I'd be more amazed if they were procedurally generated because they look fantastic.

Even if there is no seamless transition between outer space and a planet's atmosphere, they could have still programmed orbital bombardments, like the Spear of Adun in Starcraft 2. Can you at least dogfight after entering the atmosphere, or fly around the planet? Or are you forced to land?

It was probably chosen because the gateway arch is meant to symbolize Lewis and Clark's survey expedition into the Oregon territory just like we'll be exploring and surverying in Starfield.

yep real inventory/equipment for NPCs is always more immersive whether you're gonna loot it or not, the games that don't do this feels cheaper; especially when the equipment doesn't disappear from NPCs after you loot it

There's no way they added atmospheric flight/dogfights and then chose to not show it off.

On presentations developers present things that work. Also, they're still polishing this aspect.
